They're going to have to have a shedload of physicals to make any impression and be number 1 on Sunday. Their second version to download is actually going down on iTunes as well.

They are already number 1 on iTunes as I expected! :yahoo:

Im not sure if they will be number 1 in the first set of midweeks but they will be number 1 on sunday. :P

I agree and hope you're right. People are buying CLG for shock value, not because it's a good song. So it should trail off in popularity really quick. It reminds of that dreadful Eamonn song and that woman who did the response back; both are tied with Ja Rule and that David Guetta montrosity from this summer as the worst #1s ever.

Uh, really? Explain the popularity of Forget You then? It's gotten critical acclaim as a potential new Motown classic from across the spectrum and it goes down a storm everywhere I've seen it played - even at dubstep to pop to rock clubs. People aren't quite 5 years old anymore - if they think the song's awful they're not going to buy it just because it has a swear word in it!

and the EP at 2 in the albums charts

Cee-Lo is well ahead digitally, physicals could be the decider this week

& Cee-Lo appears on Jools H tonight so that will defo boost his sales ...

;)

Cee Lo is #1 with quite a good lead, he's heading for 100k+ - you thought he would do better? :P

Actually top-5 will probably have 50k+ sales this week. The last time it happened was when Eliza Doolittle was over 32k with 'Pack Up' and only at #12. I remember #7 selling just under 50k too. IIRC it was Enrique.

Nope, it was SHM and it sold EXACTLY 50,000 at #7.

The whole top 7 could sell 50k this week I think, if Labrinth holds up a bit and KOL continue to climb for a while... just the top 5 is more likely though

Also, that's pretty much it for Magnetic Man... it's managed to overtake the other Katy B song to #14 but it's definitely not going top 10 now :( Another great song that will peak between 11 and 15

Only thing i'm concerned about is i think Love You More has premiered way to early, i dont think any song needs 6 weeks radio and TV play BEFORE its even released. If i was an artist i think 4 weeks max is when i would release a song to radio/TV..what do you think sabrina?

Yeh I think 6 weeks is a bit too much, but I guess that is what most artists do nowadays. I always remember thinking when I look at Tinie Tempah's release dates "Wow thats ages away". Don't songs usually get added to Radio 1's playlist around 5/6 weeks before ? I think its mainly to give songs time to be played on music channels and added to playlists

I'm watching it on Virgin On Demand now. Just seen Marina do a pretty brilliant performance of 'Shampain' I really love her!

Looking forward to seeing Ne-Yo's performance though. :P

EDIT: My God he's a brilliant performer. Still quite a bleh song though unfortunately. But it has slightly grown on me...

I really liked Marina's performance too.

 Ne-Yo really is a great performer. I went to see him on tour last year and loved it. Probably one of the best concerts I've been too

One in a Million is nowhere near as good as some of his previous material but I still like it. Mad, So Sick, Sexy Love etc.. will always come first

Agreed basically. No way can it be compared to Eamon, that threw swear words in for the sake of it to try and break records or something, he was vile and the song was really poor. F*ck You is musically brilliant, I for one love it and have bought it and certainly not because it's got swearing in it - if anything that would usually put me off a song not endear me to it - but it's the contrast of Cee-Lo singing in such an uptempo happy way with the explicit lyrics that makes it so wonderful, whereas Eamon just sounded like a miserable angry Poundland Eminem or something - truly awful. Because Cee-Lo sings it in such a jolly way the supposed 'shock value' factor is reduced to zero anyway, it just feels as commonplace as hearing a swear word in any rap song - i.e. not shocking at all.

F*ck You is a future classic, it stands out so high above the rest of the stuff around at the moment that to dismiss it as only selling because it's explicit seems mad to me :o I honestly think it will stay in the charts for ages, far longer than Shame will anyway.

I really liked Marina's performance too.

I really desperately want to see him live. I think if I see The Killers and/or Brandon as well as Ne-Yo, the artists I care about I have seen live at least once. 'Sexy Love' is under appreciated. It's very often forgotten which is a shame as I think it's actually one of his best. But my favourite of his is definitely 'Part Of The List'. I loved it ever since I first heard 'The Year of the Gentleman'. Sublime song. TYOTG is one of my all time favourite albums

Sorry for going off-topic haha. Any news on Marina inside the top 1000 with 'Shampain', anyone? :P

So surprised at Adele's staying power :o :) Especially with all the new entries!

iTunes Popularity Bars

I was hoping to see Robbie and Gary at #1, although sales are still strong. Ouch at Kylie though! It's not that unexpected to be honest, but still.

Actually, I'm buying the song because it's a fantastic song. Nothing to do with shock value.

I think f*** You isnt just selling because its swearing- its genuinely a very good, retro sounding song, the expletives are surprising but I think it works very well- however, the 'Forget You' version is awful as it just doesnt make sense :( I do like Shame too () so Im happy either way really

having heard that Swedish House Mafia track- its basically 'One' with different lyrics and lead vocalist  I still like it, but its a bit uninspired, the KOL song is good, not a patch on SOF or US but still good and nice to see rock back in the top 10 :)

I don't think f*** You is selling on the swearing merit, its just different from what is in the charts at the moment, its like a tribute to Motown, it be a classic in years to come :D
Delighted The Saturday - Higher is now 22 :)

I'm not too sure about Higher being a top 10 hit now, how long till its released?

I agree with everything you said there. It would be quite silly for somebody to download a song just because it has swearing in it.

It's released on November 1st, so still another 4 weeks.

4 weeks, however they are not promoting it. The Flo-Rida version has just been put on radio, alot of saturday fans will download both versions. 2 versions out, strong physiccals should help them to top 10. I think it might peak around 8, if they get on xfactor top 3. But i believe this will be there strongest selling single yet. By november 8th i predict higher would have sold around 100k!
