January 27, 201114 yr 'Hitz' is amazing, I must say. I'm gonna love these references over the coming weeks. I'm defo changing my username to Hitztastic[/ego] :P
January 29, 201114 yr 'Hitz' is so f***ing incredible! Seriously can't get enough of it. Definitely in my top 3 favourite songs of the year so far.
January 30, 201114 yr Chase & Status are brilliant. Hitz, Let You Go, End Credits & Blind Faith are all amazing. Shame Let You Go didn't get into the top 10. Edited January 30, 201114 yr by its.like.that
January 31, 201114 yr Author Not bad at first I guess. There are some filler-ish tracks (the last album had some as well TBH), but I should be able to like them more the more I play the album. 'Time' is good, but I find it weird to hear some strong language in it.
February 1, 201114 yr RIGHT. 09 No Problem 08 Fire In Your Eyes (feat. Maverick Sabre) 08 Let You Go (feat. Mali) 11 Blind Faith (feat. Liam Bailey) 10 Fool Yourself (feat. Plan B and Rage) 10 Hypest Hype (feat. Tempa T) 10 Hitz (feat. Tinie Tempah) 09 Heavy (vs. Dizzee Rascal) 09 Brixton Briefcase (feat. Cee Lo Green) 10 Hocus Pocus 09 Flashing Lights (feat. Sub Focus and Takura) 07 Embrace (feat. White Lies) 08 Time (feat. Delilah) 07 Midnight Caller (feat. Clare Maguire) 11 End Credits (feat. Plan B) 'Embrace' was incredibly disappointing, worst song on the album (although still pretty good). 'Hitz' is incredible as per everyone else, but IMO the third best on the album (behind 'End Credits' and 'Blind Faith' obviously) is actually 'Hocus Pocus'.     'Fool Yourself' and 'Hypest Hype' are also 10/10 moments (six out of fifteen top marks is pretty good) and 'No Problem', 'Heavy', 'Brixton Briefcase' and 'Flashing Lights' are a bit better than the other album tracks (and 'Let You Go'). 'Midnight Caller' is the second worst song. Chase & Status can't do slow songs anywhere near as well as they can do fast songs. OVERALL VERDICT: Consistently amazing album as I expected but a couple of the songs were slightly underwhelming.
February 1, 201114 yr if it was anyone else stopping this beaut of an album from being #1 i'd be annoyed but seeing as though it's adele it's much less annoying
February 2, 201114 yr It's sure to polarize listeners big time. Most fans of so-called 'proper' d&b/dubstep (including those who loved C&S's first album) are gonna hate it - though I suspect that's mainly because of the chart success. But C&S are sure to find a new, wider audience with it. As for me, well, I like my fair share of drum & bass and dubstep, but I'm open to anything, so although No More Idols isn't a very innovative album, I've found plenty of tunes in there to love. It does have a slight bit of filler here and there, but there's more than enough quality tunes imo. Some of these songs will sound incredible live - particularly Let You Go and Hypest Hype - the crowds will go wild for them. I think it's lacking a real standout track, but anyway my favourites (other than the singles) after 3 listens are Fire In Your Eyes, Fool Yourself, Hitz, Flashing Lights, and Time. Not too keen on the Cee-Lo Green collab, and Embrace is disappointing. They could and probably should of whittled it down to less than 15 tracks, and it's a bit too dubstep-dominated - although I do love dubstep, I would of liked more d&b. But overall it's a pretty good crossover dance music album, and should do well commercially.
June 11, 201114 yr Author 4jh-xcKazSk With Wretch 32: NQmw91-hkTs Both are slightly different from the album version. Another Top 40 for them? I think so!
June 12, 201114 yr Disappointed to see Hitz has yet to make an impact on iTunes despite the video premiere... I still hope the Wretch 32 version can help it at least outpeak Time. (Do we know if they're going to push the Wretch version as the single or not?)
