Any chance of changing the thread title to match the old one? :D

Since it's a new topic I'll start off by saying that the best character for me, right now, is Shirley, closely flanked by Vanessa and Kim. Those three are being written particularly excellently.

Plan was to leave the "cont" there for a day or two so everyone realises that it's a continuation thread. Not all members know of the 1000 post rule for threads

Ooh, best characters at the moment...

I'll agree with Shirley and Kim, but I'd also throw in Phil, and in this past week, Jean.

Jean is obviously the best character right now with Kim coming in a close second. I loved Bianca/Kat on Friday night. Hilarious!
Either Kat, Stacey or Jean for the women and either Ryan or Alfie for the men imo

Is Sam still in, or has she left like usual? She's been my fave recently.

And Ryan's brill too. It's not often Janine get's a likeable partner

Brilliant episode tonight! :D Lot's of comedy, which I love, and my favourite quote was Jean saying "am I not entertaining enough?". The scene with Tanya and Vanessa stepping out of their cars was tacking as hell, but so so brilliant at the same time! :D New Lauren seems alright, she's got a lot more screen-prescene and likeability than the old actress imo.

Lauren 2.0 seems a bit 'ooh, acting!' at the moment but likeable enough so hopefully she'll become properly decent when she settles in.

That episode was THE TITS though. I did a squeel when Van and Tan stepped out of their cars and exchanged first smirks/put-downs. PRICELESS.

Loved tonight's episode, Eastenders has really upped it's game!
Vanessa and Tanya turning up outside Max's house at the same time and that WHOLE SCENE was perfect. The new Lauren is very likeable and a surprisingly capable actress too!
I just hate it when a different person turns up out of nowhere it takes the believability out

Completely agree.

I hate the new Lauren. Irritating as hell. I loved old Lauren and her lack of ability to show any emotions

I dont like the new Luaren at all, the new lauren is totaly totaly out of charactor and bears no resemblence to the original lauren, lauren was timed this one is just vulgar.

Erm what? How on earth is she 'vulgar'? She's a bit more confident but I don't think she's exactly had a personality transplant. The fact is the old Lauren probably wasn't meant to be played as dull as she was, the actress just couldn't act.

I don't like the new Lauren, its laughable in some places, as if the family haven't noticed the difference.

I just hope the new Lucy is better, as I'm going to miss Melissa
