What are the best films you've seen all year, so far?

For me:

01. 'Inception'

02. 'Toy Story 3'

03. 'Shutter Island'

04. 'Dinner For Schmucks'

05. 'Kick Ass'

06. 'Get Him To The Greek'

07. 'Four Lions'

----------

Also; what are the films that you're pumped and excited for this year? For me;

01. 'Paranormal Activity 2'

02. 'Saw 7'

03. 'Despicable Me'

Sooooooo excited for those three! (As you have guessed, i'm not bothered about Harry Potter lol, must be the only person in the world haha.)

Let Me In

You Again

I urge you to watch the original if you haven't already, one of my favourite films of all time. As for me, the list of new movies I've seen this year is ridiculously low. I still need to see the big hits like Scott Pilgrim Vs The World, Rec. 2 and Kick Ass. Also The Road; the book is so utterly beautiful, it's more poetry than prose, absolutely breathtaking, although I'm nervous the film won't live up to my expectations. I've also got the original version of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo for my birthday, and plan to watch it after I finish with the book. Anyway:

Inception

Toy Story 3

and that's it, rather shameful to be honest.

Films I'm anticpating are The Social Network and Harry Potter 7: Part 1. Plus, it still sort of counts as it was first scheduled, and is released in the US, this year: Never Let Me Go. As you can probably tell I've never looked forward to seeing a film in quite a while (even more so than Inception), according to early reviews it's supposed to be remarkable. If it is anywhere near as good as the book it will be.

Can somone please tell me what Scott Pilgram is about?

it is about a guy called Scott Pilgrim who starts dating a girl called Ramona Flowers, in order for him to continue dating her he has to defeat her seven evil exes.

So, I guess i'm the only one to find 'Scott Pilgrim' distinctly average? I enjoyed it, but remembering back, it wasn't as good as I thought it was really.

My faves -

Toy Story 3

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse

Salt

Daybreakers

Resident Evil: Afterlife

Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time

Inception, Eat Prey Love, The Town, Knight and Day and Clash Of The Titans were also rather good.

I agree, I would have gave it a 5/10 personally

'Scott Pilgrim' was alriiiight, but 'Kick Ass' was obviously far far better I think.

So few distinct favourites for me this year :( Although all of these lucky films are insanely incredible!

I have 'Låt den rätte komma in' burned on a DVD, and i still have to watch it. Of course going to do that before the adaptation in english is released!

'distinctly average'? what average is this because Scott Pilgrim is by far the most interesting and unique film I have seen in years, theres nothing really like it.
