i love lamb, in fact it's my favourite, but i thought beef would be the obvious one.

I honestly thought at the time that turkey would be the most obvious :o Chicken and beef went over my head a bit

Quite pleased so far ^_^ can't remember the rest of my answers, chances are I've made a cock-up somewhere which costs my chances of winning it overall.

05. Name a French city (other than Paris)

A hugely divisive round this one. To be fair, there were PLENTY of potentials so I'm almost surprised that 17 of us could actually agree on one. Plenty of different schools of thinking here; the Lyon and Marseille crowds thinking BIG, some thinking film festivals, others thinking WINE, Josh going for celebrity conception, Jonny presumably thinking football, whilst Andre, Gooddelta, Bray and Jester all think like good Little Englanders. Kuki Sanban got himself all in a dither, and initially answered with the French word for ribbon ('Bijou') before realising this was nonsense and that 'Barret' was the obvious answer (it doesn't exist). Jonjo's bad luck continues as he fails to distinguish between region and city.

Meanwhile the good citizens of Belgium will be surprised to learn that they have been ANNEXED.

Marseille (17): Chrisfishlock, Pavel, Sabrina, The Viper, Aaron, Chart Wizard, Trouble, Truly Talented, Angelic Shine, Dannyboy, Johnkm, Mattias, Robot, Brett Butler, Frank, Rooney, Shoat

If Calais (not a city) is a little Englander answer then so is Lille. I chose it because of the number of times I've taken the Eurostar to Lille.

'Little Englanders'?

Someone's gonna have to explain that reference :( I guessed it because that's the city you go to when you take the ferry from Dover, thouhght it'd be a little more popular than that

EDIT: Oh, it's not even a city. Well.

ROFL @ BELGIUM

You are quite correct; sadly they still score points for it :(

Okay, I looked up what Little Englander means, in what way is answering Calais xenophobic...? Unless there's another meaning of it.

Belgium! Oh well, good 'city'! :o Nice addition to France's territories. ^_^

03. Name a female relative (other than your mother)

Father (2): Severin,

Cremey

I'd just like to point out that as far as I know my father IS a man.

Must pay more attention next time

I went for Toulouse as I went on the French Exchange there is March, and it was AMAZING

I considered a few. If I went for something else, it would probably have been Nice or Calais. I also thought Calais was a city :(

Little Englander doesn't just mean xenophobic. It can mean not looking beyond England so going for the first place you reach outside England when travelling overland to France could be construed as "little Englander". At least a bit.

Why would anyone choose to go to Calais on holiday? Such a waste of France.

Calais is the only place I've ever been to outside of the UK and Ireland... I blame my parents, they're so cheap :(

To pick up cheap booze? Otherwise it's just the first place you reach before you head off somewhere more interesting.

06. Name an X Factor judge.

So very much a two-horse race here. Buzzjack in MALE WINNER SHOCKER, although to be fair Simon Cowell IS the King on this show, so it's a fair cop. Still, many of us had been banking on the stereotypical Buzzjack vote carrying NU QUEEN OF HEARTS Cherly 'I thump black people' Cole to the top, and also we were a little scared Bert might stab us in the head if we didn't vote Cherly. Indeed Theo surprises nobody by taking the opportunity to mount his idol.

Elsewhere the Queen of Clubs and the Court Jester of the judging panel are thrown onto the scrapheap, and Sharon O picks up a couple of votes a couple of years too late; gone from our screens but not from our hearts :( Drunk Sharon teasing Simon Cowell about his love for a great big tight haggis remains the pinnacle of X Factor history.

Simon Cowell (26): Chrisfishlock, Gooddelta, Mikey, Pavel, The Viper, Tyron, Aaron, Chart Wizard, Dandy, Grape, Jonny, Kaisa, Severin, Trouble, Truly Talented, Cremey, Dannyboy, Jamie, Johnkm, Jonjo, Matt Aloud, Mattias, Robot, Alias, Jester, MancunianGiraffe

Cherly Cole (24): Andre, Cod, Emily Haines, Ghosthunter, Sabrina, Silas, Bert For Lashes, C.R., Casey, I Love Justin Bieber, JakeWild, Suedehead, Arrs, Hitstastic, Teenage Dream, Braysephone, Brett Butler, Frank, Jack Pilgrim, Kuki Sanban, RabbitFurCoat, Rooney, Shoat, WillR0713

Dannii Minogue (6): Angelic Shine, Jack, JamesP, Sabrewulf, 152.chris, Regina Flowers

Louis Walsh (2): Jark, Common Sense

Sharon Osbourne (2): Josh, Shelli Louise Po

The reason I picked Toulouse is because I got family out there.

  This commentary is making me crack up.

[although I won the most (joint) most points out of my team anyway. :kink:]
