Posted September 30, 201014 yr So back on 1st September, all four teams were asked to take on one of Buzzjack's many failing Artist Forums (many of which will soon be no more :o ). Silk Bullet plumped for Delta Goodrem, Toxic Champagne went for the Spice Girls, Quest took on Gwen Stefani, and Blue Waffle rushed off with the Nelly Furtado forum. The task was to increase activity in the forum over the month of September, and the task would be determined by post count - the team who boosted post count by the biggest amount WINS. So I've just taken the final post count reading, and there were NO deductions for spam or those dirty, dirty Inc threads; WELL DONE TO YOU ALL. Who knew you had it in you! So final positions as follows; 04. TOXIC CHAMPAGNE (The Spice Girls) +171 posts The Toxics banked on taking advantage of the fact that they potentially had SIX acts to discuss; the five solo members, and the band itself. Alas, they completely FAILED to take advantage in reality, and so they receieve NIL POINTS in this task :( 'Twas a close run thing though.... 03.QUEST FOR ETERNAL PERFECTION (Gwen Stefani / No Doubt) - 150 POINTS FOR THE LEADERBOARD +174 points OH SO VERY CLOSE. Quest came perilously close to securing last place in this, but a last minute splurge (thanks to Theo's discography rate I believe?) saves them JUST. 02. BLUE WAFFLE (Nelly Furtado) - 300 POINTS ADDED TO THE LEADERBOARD +276 posts Securing second place with a solid combination of an incredibly spammy singles survivor game and vicious muckspreading over Nelly's ballooning weight. HURRAH So obviously that means... 01. SILK BULLET (Delta Goodrem) - 600 POINTS ADDED TO THE LEADERBOARD +439 posts Well this was a foregone conclusion after Day One it seemed :o Although I don't think anyone thought it would go this way before the task began; Delta was the artist NO-ONE really wanted. She didn't even cross the minds of the three other teams, and she was only Silk Bullet's third choice :( Still, I guess everyone had forgotten something that in hindsight should have been utterly OBVIOUS and vital to winning the task - actually having team members who were fans of the artist and would be all too happy chatting $h!t over a Delta Goodrem B-side from 2005! With the world's sole remaining Delta loon amongst their ranks, there should never have been any doubt how this task was going to go! BRAVO SILK BULLET
September 30, 201014 yr Author YOU ABANDONED THEM You can't go claiming the credit now you're winning.
October 1, 201014 yr YOU ABANDONED THEM You can't go claiming the credit now you're winning. IF U HADN'T NOTICED I am still a Silk Bullet! I just don't lead them. NU D MILIBAND

BRAVO SILK BULLET :cheer: I did say to the team that if we selected Delta I'd ensure that we would win the task :w00t: I can go on for hours and hours, it's just nice to have a forum to be able to do it, and have people respond, rather than just saying it to my uninterested friends who really couldn't care if Extraordinary Day changed my life in 2004 -_- I have to say - we probably had the most 'outside of the team' interest too which helped. All of the Delta AF's old posters, and even the two moderators (!) showed their heads again after long periods of absence which was nice. We all still love Delta, we just don't like talking to ourselves - oh well, it's getting closed soon anyway.

Clearly, you're passionate about Delta, so the hell not use this as a springboard? If as you say you've ignited interest outside of the Silk Bullet members, why on earth could you not try and keep it up?

October 1, 201014 yr MY BAD. Just noticed this! Well done team, success is ours. Taste it, it's rather sweet. I think I like it.

If as you say you've ignited interest outside of the Silk Bullet members, why on earth could you not try and keep it up? We are aiming to do that. But there's not a huge amount of incentive when we've been basically told that it's closing in 4 weeks short of a miracle. But we'll do everything to try to keep it going!

October 1, 201014 yr I hear Madonna does it rather well :magic: Er, no. Julie Covintgton, OTOH, did it very well indeed :D r8orWom8RxQ Confirmed by the OCC last month as the first single by a UK female solo artist to sell a million

But we'll do everything to try to keep it going! Not at all! The reason we have given 4 weeks is to give the marked forums a chance to pull things out of the bag. Whether you do or not is kind of down to you guys...

We'll give it a go. I didn't realise there was a possible redemption period, I was under the impression that it was all final :o
