Well this is utter $h!te... not sure what I was expecting though from a God freaks campaign. (Having said that Delirious? song wasn't ACTUALLY that bad)

These religious campaigns are getting very annoying

Oh no, I kind of like this :( * slaps self*

The U.K-based teen pop outfit the Saturdays formed in 2007 under the auspices of Polydor's Fascination Records. The five-piece girl group sports an accessible, melodic electro-pop sound tailored for pop radio, not to mention eye-catching good looks. In 2008 their debut single, "If This Is Love," hit number eight on the U.K. charts, only to be surpassed by "Up," which made it to number five, and "Issues" which reached number four. Their full-length studio album, CHASING LIGHTS, appeared in late 2008, followed soon after by a cover of the Depeche Mode synth-pop classic, "Just Can't Get Enough." With Spice Girls-inspired colour-coordinated outfits and distinct musical personalities, the Saturdays instantly captured the attention of the U.K. media, appearing on several television shows including the drama HOLLYOAKS LATER and the children's show ROSS LEE'S GHOULIES. - HMV

Don't like any of the new entries this week so far. The LZ7 gave me goosebumps... the bad ones. Extreme Fail at being 'cool'.

I actually think it's a little better than Delirious, or at least a little different from what you would expect from a Christian act. The vocals are terrible though (what's with the fake Cockney accent lads?) and the lyrics suck too.

Convening at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, The Wombats spiky electro indie pop is enlivened with lyrics steeped in healthy doses of irony and the absurd. After a series of highly rated singles and support from DJ Zane Lowe, the three piece's debut set GUIDE TO LOVE, LOSS AND DESPERATION (2007) received rave reviews. - HMV

Oh, I love The Wombats song. Criminal they are not top 20. :(
Very surprised Tokyo has even gone top 40, let alone nearly top 20... they've made no musical progress at all. This isn't bad as such but I wish they would release something that doesn't sound like all their other songs yet again... meh.
I hated The Wombats before, but I quite like this :o It does mention my fave city in the world though  Let me go back to that bar in Tokyo... :(

Although their impact in the U.S. is limited to "Pictures of Matchstick Men" and Camper Van Beethoven's popular cover version, the rock band Status Quo are practically a national institution in the U.K., and have had a five-decade career as one of England's most successful and beloved acts. Starting in the late 1960s as a psychedelic outfit, they have weathered countless changes in the British pop landscape, always maintaining a discreet distance from musical trends like disco, punk, and '80s New Wave. The no-nonsense boogie-rock sound the band adopted in the mid-'70s has served them well and proved surprisingly timeless. - HMV

This tune is a remake of their '86 tune that got to #2 for them. I remember hearing this tune in the US on the radio show "Rock Over London" with Graham Deane back then

Also, this is now the 6th decade Status Quo has hit the top 40 in their career. take that John, Paul, George and Ringo.

Cant believe the Wombats missed the top 20 :(

I really like this, although admittedly, its a far cry from their earlier stuff

Edited by chart wizard

This is alright on first listen, Let's Dance To Joy Division was far better though...very 2007/8 though, surprised to see it top 40.

Bugger that, The Wombats single is pretty good, its their best hit of their career, since Kill The Director
