People are starting to hate on Gamu quite harshly now after the hyped campagin to bring her back, which is just as bad, but in the other extreme. I can understand why people are frustrated with her not being picked (me being one of them); she has a lovely tone to her voice that I could listen to for ages, she has range and is most importantly a charasmatic performer (you can see it in her eyes) without having to use 'props'; she is like a little firecracker when she sings and I honestly think she has star quality.

She can clearly sing live and confidently in front of a huge audience, and would have been great to watch in the live stages of the competition. I'm not as sure as Kathy seems to be that everything is scripted down to the last letter and pre-planned, I think it is more likely that the producers are opportunistic. They clearly want to bring in as wide a range of finalists as they can to bring in a wide a range of viewers to increase the audience share (a given); having Rebecca (the chosen one to go far out of the girls) and Gamu (both competent singers) wouldn't bring in as many viewers as having Rebecca (the competent, likeable singer) and Katie (crackers and a diva) or Rebecca and Cher (volatile and current). I doubt very much that they foresaw from so early on that Gamu would get this much attention, but now that she has, they are feeding the flames, without any real intention of bringing her back, just so people tune in to see if she will.

Either way if Gamu isn't picked as a wildcard (which is now almost certain), I will be backing Rebecca or Matt to win (with TreyC completeing the final 3). I'm still holding out that Nicole Scherzinger will be back to mentor the wildcards - there was a hint in the tunnel sequence, where after the four current judges flashed by, there was tunnel shot with a silhouette in the background when the "BIG TWIST" font came up.

And they didn't know this before? They removed Shirlina at an early stage when they found there was a problem. Total rubbish. The Home Office have apparently said there was no reason from their point why she couldn't still continue.

Simon Cowell is lapping up all this debate. Gamu is more famous for not going through than she would be had she been put through.

Still ... this is great for my favourites ... no pressure on them at all.

First everyone hated Chezza for not putting Gamu through in the first place but now everyone hates Gamu  What a kerfuffle!

Need some advice! Thought this was the place to ask. I got standby tickets for this weekends live finals - currently debating going but from other peoples experiences how early would I need to arrive and queue to effectively guarantee I would get in? Don't really want to try 3 hours and sit there for 6/7 more for nothing.

If I go I will most likely also have 2 spare places.

because 4 minutes and 33 seconds of silence being number 1 would be f***ing hilarious, and f*** up things for radio, im sorry you have no sense of humour.

I can't wait to see the music video to '4:33' on The Box!!!

To the people annoyed at the uproar, if you're going to hate someone hate the people who're making the uproar and not Gamu. :/

It'll all be forgotten in a few weeks Sabre ... people are just letting off steam. I think everyone knows that Cowell, the producers and the media are behind this fiasco. Not Gamu ... nor for that matter Cher or Katie ... or even Cheryl.

I decided to "like" that Gamu should have got through group that's on facebook.

Even though I'm not into wildly screaming that she should have gotten through I still want to show support.

At the rate it's going it might reach 250'000 soon. :o

edit: Oh look it's already time for the "This act is a $l*t" scandal: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/artic...ctor-break.html

Katie porn star? :o
I'm sure you've read but Gamu made me forced to leave the country, therefore she won't be brought back into the competition! :(

I take with a pinch of salt EVERY story I read in the 'news' now. The family have been in the country for eight years so this threat seems to come at a very convenient time for the program makers. Sorry .... if that sort of threat was hanging over my head ... I'd be too upset to even think about entering a silly little talent contest - further drawing attention to myself and family by being on TV.

Please ... just take everything involved with X-Factor .... put it to the back of your minds because it is all 100% bullsh/t! My only thoughts now are ... how the hell is Simon going to top this next year ... but then again ... as he's leaving ... he probably wants to go out with a bang.

Is Simon leaving though? I've heard that the X Factor will no longer be on at the run up to xmas but during the new year so he can have X Factor US on in the run up to xmas.
Well you'll have seen the Daily Heil's take on things ... if you're all going to believe that crap ... you may as well read what 'The Star' has to say! 'Dave' steps in! Ooohh ... does this mean Cameron is to be deported too?

If they are going to deport anyone let it be Louis and could he take Jedward with him back to Ireland or anywhere else.Of course Gamu and her family are not going to be deported but seriously David Cameron the party of anti immigration bigotry and old style racists I really hope he is not jumping on the bandwagon.Dark Lord Simon must be the happiest man on the planet about now.

I find the whole thing hilarious ... Gamu has become the new Shilpa Shetty! The family have been in the country for eight years ... rather bloody convenient that all the talk of deportation comes exactly at the time of X-Factor, Series 7.

As I've said all along ... the whole story is bollocks! The whole show is Bollocks! I'll be watching of course ... but safe in the knowledge that it is just that ... bollocks! Entertaining bollocks but bollocks nevertheless.

BTW ... Ladbrokes now have Gamu at odd of 4-1 to win the competition.
