HOLY $h!t @ Bruno... back to #1 for him next week by the looks of things unless The Wanted really get a move on!

1-2-4-3-1... hmmm. Hope Duck Sauce can at least retain top 3.

I notice Jay Sean seems to be underperforming.

i know and taylor :(

Bruno :o I know I said I wanted X Factor to pick more contemporary songs this year but I didn't quite expect the contestants to be singing songs from the current top 5! Particularly considering it was musical heroes week. But maybe Duck Sauce and Bruno Mars are heroes to some?

I'm sure the thinking behind Duck Sauce was that their hero was either Boney M. or Barbra Streisand, rather than Duck Sauce themselves.

Althouhgh Armand Van Helden (one half of Duck Sauce) could be considered a musical hero too I suppose.

Bruno Mars was a bit of a bizarre choice... a bit premature to be calling him a hero surely?

Good point, Barbra Streisand actually makes sense as a hero, plus I reckon Diva Fever could well be kept in, purely because it's such a big song at the moment.

I thought Bruno Mars was only Jonjo's hero? :o :kink: I must admit that love or hate Just The Way You Are, it does have that 'timeless' quality to it and I think it will easily go down as one of 2010's 'classic singles' and sell a huge amount in the process. I can see radio still playing it in ten years, maybe more.

I loved how Dannii literally credited Diva Fever for performing Barbra Streisand rather than their singing

Yeah, same here! I think the songs being available for download are getting them to put more effort in the performancs. There's been a few cool mash-ups performed now.

And it was funny when that boy band perfromed Kelly Clarkson, and Louis was like "Kelly Clarkson is your hero? Really?"

I think they might scrap the themed weeks for 2012 because both this week and last week they were bending the rules of them and I think most the judges would like to change it (bar Louis maybe  )

Wow, I like the XF idea of performing songs in the current top-3! It starts to feel like the 'Top of the Pops' like Hitstastic mentioned. Good move definitely. I'm not happy with the enormous lead of Bruno again as I wanted Ducks to get there, but what can you do?

Eliza and Travie's songs are released today as a single, but were already avaliable through their albums.

Thanks :)

Love how LTWYA and Barbra Streisand are on XF the 2 songs beating Joe in the midweeks

Suprised that Simon was happy that Diva Fever were singing Barbra Streisand when that song was enitially stopping Joe getting the No.1! Hope that all the new entries get Top.100 with Diana as No.1, then I'll be happy ;)

With Hands having under-performed I hope that this will just be like a repeat of the last era when the first single (Great DJ) only got Top.40 (similar to how Hands performed) but then followed by a No.1 single and album that stayed in the chart throughout the year followed by another massive Top.10 hit that's always being played on TV adverts, shows, another Top.30 hit and then a single that didn't quite reach the Top.40 but still stayed in the Top.100 for a long time and managed to squeeze in some more sales of the album.

Or that Hands will be like Shut Up And Let Me Go (charting originally at #49 then moving up to #29, falls out of chart , then re-enters at #24 two weeks later and eventually climbs higher and higher to peak at #6 and then staying in the chart throughout Summer and being over-all popular)! :D
