Italy's Nicolo, Ireland's Mary Byrne, Germany's Wagner (Bill Bailey), zany Euro-trash Diva Fever, girl group Belle Amie, boy bands F.Y.D. and 1 Direction... this is the weakest X Factor yet. Overnight it became a procession of novelty acts: Katie in her Roman gladiator hat; Storm and his purple hair; MC Cher, the mini-Cheryl "rapper" from the mean streets of, um, Malvern. An interminable parade of holiday camp charisma and weedy drivel, there were only a handful of performances you could actually say had serious pop star potential or talent: Matt, Rebecca, Treyc, and Aiden. Ironically, the weaker the candidates, the harder they find it to evict anyone. They've expanded the categories, created bands out of rejects, rewarded "characters" who fall apart and handed out wild cards. Other irritants: Dermot O'Dreary's trans-adlannic accent; Grannii Minogue's hair; the judges talking to the acts as if they had styled themselves when it's pretty obvious: they're all puppets. I agree with him (apart from lumping Mary in with Wagner, et al ... she was actually OK on Saturday) Kath The Mirror is usually so supportive of the X-factor brand but they have been ripping it to shreds lately-funny article.The Sunday Mirror tv critic refers to Cher as Chav Lloyd.I suppose they have a point if Mary is considered the stand out performance from most of the critics from Saturday night my expectations are very low for this series.
October 11, 201014 yr Anyway...the group performance was a cover of the Hermes House Band arrangement of the Corona song :lol: I'm glad someone picked up on that! I recognised it instantly, it's amazing how much they are conning the public into thinking the acts are being talented and putting their own spin on songs, when in fact they are just recycling eurocovers that are far superior to the X Factor performances. Really disappointed Nicolo went, but it was expected I guess. Him singing Lady Gaga was just too predictable, and people covering Lady Gaga is almost as annoying as Elvis Presley tribute acts. Really shocked that John and Belle Amie weren't bottom three, was half expecting Paije to be there too. FYD going was not a surprise. Edited October 11, 201014 yr by Ghosthunter
October 11, 201014 yr I feel sorry for Nicolo. It was definitely not his best performance, but he didn't deserve to go! Very disappointed to see Katie in the bottom 3 aswell, although it's not very surprising as nobody seems to like for her some reason. I still love her though.

October 11, 201014 yr I've just read on Twitter that apparently Nicolo was originally meant to sing 'Womanizer' then they changed it to 'Just Dance'. I wonder if the outcome would have been different if they stuck with 'Womanizer'.... :(

The better song by far is Promise This, so hopefully it will beat the 'sound of 2010 rehash medley' by Rihanna to #1 :D But I just read that Rihanna's shoved her release back a week, so looks like both will get to the top!

Oh where did you read that? If true then both should get there (hopefully). If thats the case then Rihanna will likely perform on 31st October.
