Cee-Lo and Robbie set to top charts

Robbie Williams looks set to top the albums chart this Sunday with his new greatest hits set, while Cee-Lo Green should hold onto his singles crown.

Singles

On singles, Cee-Lo Green’s Forget You (Warner Bros) looks likely to top the chart again this Sunday, although Duck Sauce’s Barbra Streisand (3 Beat/AATW) is not far behind it, while Bruno Mars’ Just The Way You Are (Amazing) [Elektra] and Joe McElderry’s new single Ambitions (Syco) are both selling strongly.

Albums

In what is a busy week for both charts, there will be six new albums challenging for a top 10 position this Sunday. Leading the pack, Williams’ In And Out Of Consciousness (Virgin) looks a dead cert to top the chart after selling more than 41,000 copies on its first day of release.

This week’s number one, Tinie Tempah’s Disc-Overy (Parlophone), is still selling well and currently holds the number two position in Official Chart Company sales flashes, ahead of three new releases, Cliff Richard’s Bold As Brass (Parlophone), Alter Bridge’s AB III (Roadrunner) and Magnetic Man’s Magnetic Man (Columbia).

Belle & Sebastian’s Write About Love (Rough Trade) and The Orb featuring David Gilmour’s Metallic Spheres (Columbia) also look set to enter the charts in the top 10, while Jason Donovan’s Soundtrack of the 80s (UMTV) is just outside the 10 at the moment.

Rough Trade could even score two new entries in the top 20 this Sunday: Antony & the Johnson’s Swanlights is currently in the lower reaches of the 20, while another indie stalwart – Sufjan Stevens - sits one space behind courtesy of The Age Of Adz (Asthmatic Kitty).

[04] Any member asking for information that isn't in the updates we don't have, always read the topic before you post, I do not want to see questions like Where is Britney? repeated several times on every page of the thread, once is enough, bookmark the page if you don't have time to read all of the topic. Its not that hard.

[05] Do not use BLOCK CAPITALS when posting a sentence its considered as shouting and rude.

Rob better get his 9th UK #1 album. It is #2 and #3 on Itunes (therefor #1 surely), #1 and #2 on Play, #1 and #15 on Amazon and #1 on HMV so I will be shocked if he isnt. Have no idea what sales to expect. I suppose Oasis's recent singles collection would be a good indicator. Hopefully Rob's GH having a 3rd disc with 19 B-sides/Rarities (many of which are brilliant tracks) plus the two new tracks in Shame and the great 'Heart and I' will give a boost in sales as it is basically a new album and a half for casual fans who don't already have the tracks. ^_^ I'm thinking between 20-30K sales for it in the mids.

Robbie will easily get the #1 album - the only question is how big (or small in comparison to previous albums) his sales are.

Reckon the singles will start off this week as:-

#1 Cee-Lo

#2 Duck Sauce

#3 Bruno

#4 Joe

#5 Tinie Tempah

#6 Swedish House Mafia

although Joe might be #3 in the first set of mids depending on how high his physicals are (but he probably needs to shift 5k physicals on Monday for that to happen, which I don't think even an X Factor winner can do with their "debut" single, hence why I think he'll be #4).

Joe might actually struggle to sustain #4 as he's only just ahead of Swedish House Mafia (Miami 2 Ibiza) and Tinie Tempah (Written In The Stars) on iTunes when all versions are combined, and he'll inevitable fall throughout the week - he might end up @ #6 (which would be even lower than where the disastrous effort from Leon Jackson charted :o).

Yep, just as I predicted, I also think Joe's physicals are going to be weaker, Alexandra did 90k (Tues mids),

I think Joe's opening sales are more looking at 30k for today, oops

'State of conciousness', eh?

Unlike anyone who tries listening to his music... :w00t:

Oh over 41k, nice sales. I thought around the 40k mark :)

Frustrating seeing a second version of Duck Sauce, as it can't get any higher than #1, I do wonder if Duck Sauce is #1 now...

Unlikely because even combining the 2 Duck entries on iTunes, Cee-Lo still has a 20% lead.
