Posted October 11, 201014 yr Cheryl Cole has reportedly covered a song by Britney Spears on her forthcoming album. The tracklist for the star's sophomore LP was released last week, and includes 'Amnesia', which is rumoured to be a cover of a song performed by Spears. Perez Hilton reports that the song, which originally featured as a UK bonus track on Spears's last LP Circus, will be included on the X Factor judge's album. Cole's record, called Messy Little Raindrops, is released on November 1 and features collaborations with Travie McCoy and Dizzee Rascal. Her new single 'Promise This' is out on October 25.I'm really unsure about this. I hope it gets the song recognition, but I hope people find out it's a Britney cover and that Britney's version is well worth downloading :kink:

I hope it's f***ing amazing just to p*** you all off.I do like the Cole, you know I do. But i'm interested in hearing it, but I personally don't think her version will be as good. It may still be "amazing" but for Cheryl to pull it off I think she'd have to change the style quite a bit as i'm to used to Brit's version. But I seriously believe 'Amnesia' to be one of those songs, that will sound good no matter who covered it. So i'm personally interested in seeing how they will pull it off. If it's identical to the original, then we have the right to be peed off just as much as, say those who always slate Xfactor covers "just for being identical to the original" etc... Yeah it may be that we're Britney fans and it's a Britney song, but I don't think we're reacting half as bad as a Cheryl cole fan would had it been britney covering 'Heaven' or 'Rain On Me' for her new album or something :P

October 12, 201014 yr Author I believe Perez has confirmed it (not to sure how reliable he is exactly) but I believe Fenando Garibay has worked with Cheryl on this album, so it wouldn't surprise me.

Which is completely justifiable. but I don't think we're reacting half as bad as a Cheryl cole fan would had it been britney covering 'Heaven' or 'Rain On Me' for her new album or something :P Britney fans would be more upset with something like this, I can assure you.
October 12, 201014 yr It won't be as good for the reason that Cheryl has no tone to her voice whatsoever, and what makes Britney's voice stand out is her "twang".. No-one can sing a Britney song, quite like her (not even the best singer - see her Glee episode).

So Britney fans would be more ticked off then Cheryl fans.
