Though Tennessee's Kings of Leon are a rock band from the south, that doesn't mean they're a Southern Rock band. The Followill brothers Caleb, Jared, and Nathan (along with their cousin Matthew) play a straight-ahead, hard-driving brand of rock & roll that owes more to Crazy Horse and the Rolling Stones than it does to Molly Hatchet. Their debut album, 2003's YOUTH & YOUNG MANHOOD showed them to be an earthier equivalent to garage-rock contemporaries like the White Stripes and the Strokes. - HMV

Oasis - Time Flies... 1994-2009

Thanks! Not as long ago as I thought

Is it me or did this song get top 10 purely because its the KoL?

I'm not that impressed really. Will prob get a number 1 album in the next few weeks too.

Oasis?

Great that Robbie finally has a number 1 again- he was extremely unlucky losing to JLS last year and losing to Alex and Cee-lo in the singles

Radioactive is pretty good- but thats it really

Katy has basically confirmed on Twitter that she's doing Firework, but Teenage Dream might get a few sales from the performance anyway.

Also, on the topic of Katy, California Gurls is still #19 on the Big Top 40 Show! :o

I really like "Radioactive" actually, thought it would have charted higher but I guess it would have done better if they'd released this week like they planned. Album will obviously be huge, should challenge Eminem for biggest first-week of the year.

Good remake of the Tears for Fears classic that becomes the Xmas #1 in 2003. I guess this was an X-factor bump for this tune

Soulful, R&B-influenced pop vocalist Pixie Lott was born Victoria Louise Lott on January 12, 1991, in Kent, England. Nicknamed Pixie by her mother, Lott first began singing in church. Later, she attended an arts school and appeared in several West End musical productions. A demo she recorded eventually caught the ear of producer L.A. Reid, who signed her to Island Def Jam Records when she was 15 years old. However, songs posted to her MySpace page began drawing more industry attention, and a bidding war ensued. Lott ultimately signed to Mercury in the U.K. and Interscope in the United States. Lott's debut album, TURN IT UP, was scheduled for release in 2009. - HMV

Shame that Pixie fell out of the Top 10, at the end. I was hoping for a Top 10 hit with it -_-
Still "Cry Me Out" peaked at 12, and it was still a pretty big hit.
Gutted for Pixie. Was hoping that this would hang on to top 10. Shame it hasn't done that well, I really think this is one of her best songs and dont find it boring at all.
