It's also number 1 on Ireland iTunes (well it was until Britney came along ). Whilst I was doing updates for Brit's track last night, I saw this was top 10 in quite a few countries actually! I was surprised.

I didnt notice that on the irish itunes, going by the infor we have seen from various itunes date higher is looking like it stands a chance of doing reasonably well overall and hopefully top 10 at the least in the UK.

Well, it's just been added to the Radio 1 playlist - rather the Taio Cruz feat Travie McCoy version has  I don't see why we must get everything American and not the versions of songs released in Europe - how long before we become the 51st state of America and withdraw from Europe altogether :drama:

But why are the video channels here playing the Kylie version?

It certainly looks that way :( The only way to know for sure is if they playlist the lead single from her next era or not.

I won't be impressed if when it's released to iTunes, the Kylie version sells higher than the Travie version, yet they play the latter on the chart show.

I didn't even know where was an alternative version. Anyway we all know full well what Radio 1 are like, if you're over 40; you'e had it. Time must be running out for Take That then...

Or it's a clever marketing strategy on Taio's labels part. They know Kylie has the fanbase and people who watch music channels may buy Kylie's version instead of Travie's, but those who only listen to the radio will only know about Travie's version so they're going to get more sales/combined sales that way. (Plus the Taio solo version should start charting IF it's going to be in demand...

'Closer' or 'Cupid Boy' would have changed that for her imo. They're quite different and "now" sounding to anything Kylie's done previously. 'Get Outta My Way' and 'Better Than Today' were too Kylie sounding and weren't really appealing to anyone other than her fanbase (+ me, I was won over by her from this era, so they're quite special to me in a way, not sure many others would feel the same way I do about them)

Im dispointed radio 1 arent sticking with kylie;s version to be honest, thats 2 snubs in a row now from radio 1 for kylie after years of very loyal support.

Surely this cant be classed as a kylie new entry since it isnt even her version.
Radio 2 are playing the Kylie version :cheer: Take THAT Radio 1 :P

Number 40 in the mids!!! Whoooop!!

I know it's says Taio Cruz Ft. Travie & Kylie but it's just the Kylie version that's getting released in UK next month....right???

Surely they're going to release both versions of the song, get more downloads that way? People who want just Travis or Kylie's version and then those who perhaps want both (as well as Taio's very own version).
Will they be combined or chart seperatly though, if not combined the kylie version could lose out on sales resulting in a lower chart position???
