Now now, Tulisa is a far better singer than Cher.

I've seen ndubz live and she's so throaty. Really bad.

Belle Amie and Paige completely dead to Josh. :o

Sadly so :( They're just boring!

Why does Paije get so much hate? :( I love his voice. His styling, not so much.

Matt is Mcelderry mk2. He's the type people vote for because he's nice and has a good voice. Can you actually imagine radio spinning his music?.

Yes I can, he's nothing like him, he's a rock/MOR singer, he's more of a Lee DeWyze (American Idol winner) type, I don't honestly think there's been someone like him in X Factor before. BOMT was a risk for me, I didn't love it as much as the first two weeks, but he's still AMAZING

Tracey is a great backing singer, too old, too much like Alex Burke.

Aiden is too strange.

Cher can't rap or sing well. She reminds of that awful Tulisa from ndubz. Someone needs to find her 2 annoying beings she can form a group with.

This post makes me feel ill.

Tracey too old? She's 26 or something like that and she barely even looks it. Aiden too strange? God forbid anybody could differ from the norm. Cher can rap which is exactly why she's become a sensation already and tonight she proved that she's a competent enough singer too.

Sounds like you're just determined to find fault with everybody. Must be miserable being you!

CHER! Not seen any of tonights performances apart from hers! BUT WOWOWOW! I love her etc... etc... same old, same old. I preferred 'Hard Knock Life' & 'Just Be Good to Me' (but that's because I far prefer those as songs anyway), however this was her best vocal performance and she totally owns the stage everytime. I honestly don't get why she gets as much hate. Although I guess some people don't get why she gets the love...
None of these contestants are going to do much in the charts next year. Anyone else think differently?.

One direction are a poor man's The Wanted, who are also awful.

Rebecca is a less interesting Duffy. Too non descript, bland to make it.

The others won't even get a look in so i won't bother with them.

The judges are overdoing telling every act they can see them in the charts and selling millions of singles it really is not true for most of them.Aidan does look crazy, One Direction are limited and vocally poor (IT PROBABLY DOES NOT MATTER FOR BOYBANDS THOUGH).Matt has a great voice and with good material he could do well.Rebecca is getting boring but is well suited to the R2 crowd. It is getting old Treyc is like Alex, like Danyl all black people do not sound or look the same if there is room for Ellie, Pixie, Little Boots, Diana Vickers there is room for a selection of black female singers.Amen to the truth that Cher can neither sing in tune and is a poor rapper, she was out of tune last night and no amount of dancers, backing tracks will hide the fact that she is vocally poor.Alesha Dixon was doing what Cher did and better 10 years ago, Lady Sovereign remains in a league of her own which Cher will never touch.

How can you say Cher can't carry a tune, after last night? Yes, she's not the greatest vocalist ever but last night she seemed to turn quite a few people, not just on here. She can sing in tune and is the best performer there, by a long way. She looks like she's been doing this sort of thing for years and she's only 16/17. To say she won't be big after X Factor is just ridiculous. She's the one with most potential. She's very current and with the right producers and material, she'll not only be big here, but I reckon Simon will help her become a sensation in the US too.

I am only speaking the truth I really enjoy UK Urban music and know that Cher is a poor performer and singer.I will not even mention rapper as she cannot be termed one.I think people are shocked to hear Rap on X-factor so she is getting alot of buzz. There are singers/rappers in the UK who are doing it better and that put her to shame.Ms Dynamite was better 10 years ago and is still a good Rapper/MC.The day Cher can even come close to Shystie one of the up and coming UK rappers will never happen.

I seriously don't get all the Cher-bummage? :( She's nothing but a poor, knock off version of Alesha Dixon.

THIS IS THE ANALOGY I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR FOR THREE WEEKS. Thank you Josh.

The performances last night were quite good, but the song choices were awful! The only acts that actually stuck to the theme were Matt, Wagner and Katie. I'm sure Mary's song would be a guilty pleasure for the younger generation, but not so much for her. :heehee:

I'm beginning to despise One Direction, and unfortunately I'm beginning to warm to Katie again. :(

What is the point of such loose themes when they keep changing the songs right up until the last minute it seems.

Still not watched last nights show, but I skipped through a few and got slightly bored.. Will watch now though and post my views

I don't understand how half of the song choices were Guilty pleasures though and it seems most of the rumoured choices were wrong

Looking forward to seeing Cheryls performance tonight.. Not too fussed about Michael Buble though

From the release schedule.. Who I think will get performance slots:

31st Oct: Will.i.am/Nicki Minaj

7th Nov: Westlife & X Factor Finalists

14th Nov: JLS (Single Release)

21st Nov: Take That (Album Release), Olly Murs

28th Nov: Nicole Sherzinger

Agree with Tom.

Throughout the whole of last years X Factor, I said all along that Joe McElderry was a good "live vocalist" but not a popstar. Joe sounds terrible on record; his vocals on 'You Are Not Alone' and 'The Climb' are far too angelic and ho-hum!!! Joe belongs to the West End, not the pop charts.

Matt, on the other hand, has a different style/sound altogether. There's more grit to his vocal style - he's like the Ronan Keating to Boyzone where Joe would be the Stephen Gately. I reckon Matt could easily become the most successful male solo artist after The X Factor finishes. I've even read comments about Matt's old band saying how fantastic he sounds on those tracks. There is massive potential for Matt if he enjoys songwriting.

Just rewatching on Itvplayer now coz was with friends and couldn't hear properly..

My verdict:

1. Rebecca - 10/10

2. Katie - 10/10 :o

3. Cher - 10/10

4. Matt - 10/10

5. Treyc - 9.5/10

6. Aiden - 9/10

7. Mary - 8/10

8. Paije - 8/10

9. 1Direction - 7/10

10. Belle Amie - 6.5/10

11. John - 4.5./10

12. Wagner - 1/10

Rebecca, Matt, Katie and Matt were all amazing, they had the right songs and I loved how Matt made it his own. Rebecca really is talented, world class! Wagner HAS to go tonight, he's just awful :(

Here are last night's youtube views so far:

Cher Lloyd- 54,401

Matt Cardle- 49,080

One Direction- 42,608

Rebecca Ferguson- 31,397

Paije Richardson- 25,464

Treyc Cohen- 25,088

Katie Waissell- 24,471

Mary Byrne- 23,755

Aiden Grimshaw- 22,001

John Adeleye- 21,114

Wagner- 17,963

Belle Amie- 17,709

only 4 performances over 30k! :o

I know these arent always accurate- but I would say that John, Wagner and Belle Amie look the most at risk if these are any indicator

well, yes :kink:

:P

What I mean is Joe sounds like Stephen when he sings. If you heard a Stephen Gately solo track (that you'd never heard before) and a new song by Joe straight afterwards - without knowing who the singers of the two tracks were - you would probably think it's the same person singing both tracks.
