Right now every topic is about the race for number one, Cheryl Cole v. Rihanna

But this topic is completely different

Would Cole always top Rihanna. Vote for what you think would of been higher than the other if the songs were released on the same week.

Cheryl might be number one but which song will sell more??? I think Rihanna.

I'm voting FFTL, RB & TA.

FFTL, Rude Boy - these are for definite. As for Te Amo... They have messed up the release of it, making the huge lag between the radio premiere and the video release which as too late. As for Cheryl - there was hell a lot of press surrounding her during 'Parachute' - yes, it was very very frustrating for Cheryl personally, but it helped single a lot. So I'm not sure about the last one.

Te Amo only flopped because it was an album release and missed a lot of airplay. In a normal world this would of done better but with Cheryl in the papers every day it's always her that will peak higher. Parachute is a better song too! :D

Heartbreaker - higher than 'Take A Bow'

Fight For This Love - higher than 'Russian Roulette'

3 Words - lower than 'Rude Boy'

Parachute - probably lower than 'Te Amo'

Parachute and 3 Words did alright without X Factor really but I question how well Cheryl would have done without X Factor. Should you put the album 3 Words and album Rated R on the poll?

FFTL > RR

RR was a very poor comeback for Rihanna, it only made #6 in its first week of release, remember - okay, so it was only available from Monday, but it took an XF performance to get it to #1 on iTunes / #2 officially (due to still-high physicals for Peter Kay). FFTL was genuinely massive even before her XF performance and would have blown RR out of the water.

3W < RB

Rude Boy outsold RR by far and showed a lot more longevity - if it was released before / alongside the album it'd easily be #1 IMO. Added to the fact 3W is the smallest of Cheryl's hits (even though it peaked higher than Parachute, Parachute stuck around longer and I believe sold more) RB would easily win.

P > TA

Te Amo just isn't the sort of song that would get to #1 in the UK. If Parachute were released before the album it'd be an easy #1, maybe Te Amo top 3. As I mentioned earlier, even though Parachute peaked lower than 3W it's easily the bigger hit.

Like most others, I voted Fight For the Love, Rude Boy and Parachute.

Rude Boy was just MASSIVE, as was Fight For This Love.

Paracute and Te Amo is the more questionable one, but I think Parachute would've done better. Both songs are quite boring, in my opinion, but Parachute is more catchy, I suppose.

Soon I'll be making a (Part II) with the albums and different songs up against each other (e.g. Rude Boy v. Fight For Tihs Love)

Both Parachute and Te Amo are growers, really boring on first listen but with airplay more listenable. And because Parachute had more airplay I liked it more. The first two questions are really easy.

Would Cole always top Rihanna?

Fight For Tihs Love vs. Russian Roulette

Fight For This Love

3 Words (feat. will.i.am) vs. Rude Boy

Rude Boy

Parachute vs. Te Amo

Parachute

Gone with majority on all 3answers, though it's pretty obvious given that we know how successful each single has been ;].
