Yay :yahoo: It's good to have Siobhan Fahey back in the charts

http://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/insatiabl...d397141893?uo=4 - Nadine. :drama: I hope for a miracle and a top-10 somehow, even in the style of Peter Andre.

A top 20 hit would be acceptable. I still don't get what the public doesn't like about her. She has a great voice, and you know that all the stories about her being a bitch are made up. Maybe people are mistrusting of British people who go to America and come back?

1.79 for the full EP is not bad at all no? :)

But most written in the press makes her bitchy, she's been given the bad press since she revealed that she was going to release an album. The big deal was even made of her legs! The quality of material is good, she instantly got hell a lot of love when 'Insatiable' was premiered. And she Rocked from the red letter R during the Paul O'Grady show giving the great vocals. People got off of her when the so-called parody to "promo" has kicked in. Quality-wise and talent-wise she's obviously outstanding, but her manager and her image just ruin it all IMO. The Nadine issue just proves the people often don't care much about the music while buying the record - they care about the image created by the labels, PR agencies etc.

Nadine's song is just a bit boring to me though. Interesting idea, but I think Robbie Williams did it better last year, in Bodies.

Also, I'm not, in the slightest surprised by Alexis Jordan. Seriously, I've been hearing the song regularly on the radio now for about 3 months. Similar thing with Check It Out, except on commercial radio only, pretty much.

The big shock is Roll Deep. It's not had amazing promotion, but it's nit had much less than the other two singles, and the song is good enough. I thought it would definitely go top 10. The way Green Light went to #1, I thought they just had a large fanbase, but perhaps the song was selling more on merit, after all (it is very good).

The Best of Suede (Bonus Interview Version)

439. Beautiful Ones - Suede

:cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

I'd love to see this go much higher. Is there much promotion going on for this back home?

About releasing an album on a Saturday, I think the album tracks would still chart higher. I think having 7 days of sales in the week would make up for losing the first day of sales of the album.

On that note, I think The Flood should do well from Cheryl's album this week, and Drake's and Eminem's tracks will probably get cherry-picked a lot from Rihanna's album, the week after.

Suedewatch:

Beautiful Ones - #202

Trash - #418

Animal Nitrate - #523

She's In Fashion - #781

Filmstar - #842

I'm glad that a new generation (pun intended) seem to be discovering Suede.

iTunes Popularity Bars

Those pop bars make me think that if Rihanna had performed on X Factor last week she would be the official number one right now. Do we know if Rihanna couldnt make it last week or Miss Cole requested that she perform the week after her?

Cheryl doesn't have the power, you should ask their record label, both acts are from Universal/Polydor. Rihanna was set to go to Katy Perry's Indian wedding but she didn't go because the album wasn't finished... so no, it was Rihanna's personal decision to not perform last week.

How much market share does Tesco Digital have for music downloads?

Even if Tesco sold 10,000 downloads of Insatiable (which is highly unlikely) at 29p, they'd only lose £1100 - which is nothing to Tesco

It would just be considered part of the marketing budget for the album.
