Ellie was great last night :) LOVING 'Human', can't wait to hear that on the CD.
Why oh Why is Ellie Goulding in the indie forum she is pop plain and simple . Plus her voice and personality are blander than Dido.

I totally agree with this statement.

I think Ellie Goulding threads started appearing in this thread as she was once considered to be more of a "specialist" artist and as such most properly would have belonged here but now she is an out and out pop artist and really should be in the pop forum.

I personally don't see the harm in it being kept here, but I also have no problems if you wish to move it to the Pop forum as Ellie is someone I'd say fits into most genres...

I think Ellie should be pop as well...

Like I said in the iTunes thread, I still do not like this song but I couldn't be happier for her :D

To be doing better now than Take That / JLS... considering this song has only been out for a week... amazing.

I agree. I think Your Song is her worst release so far, but I'm glad for her success and hopefully it'll help the re-release sell.

Has there been any news on a Lights certification? Surely it must have sold enough by now to be Gold, it sold 40k+ copies in the first week.

According to Vidcapper's est sales thread in the chart forum, the albums so far has done around 232k/234k. Quite a bit considering the low sales climate, the re-release was definitely a smart move on her labels behalf, I can see it reaching 400-450k by the end of the year and selling well into the new year. One things for sure it's not going to do a 1-16 (?) dive again...

Yeah, there's always been a hip hop and metal element to her music.

Would have liked to see "The End" on this. It's up there with her best songs.

The album art on this is pretty class.

she will re-enter the top 10.. but only because your song (59p is genius oher artists should do thiss)
'Even manages'?! 'Salt Skin' IS a highlight!!

I don't think this will re-enter the top 10 just because of 'Your Song'?

Well, it is good, but the album is basically perfect for me. My least played of the original 11 tracks is on 38 plays, which is...unusual for me! The only song I've played less than "Salt Skin" is "This Love (Will Be Your Downfall)". :o

But it is one of the best of her live set because she ends it by letting herself go mad on the drums and you can tell she's having a lot of fun with it.

I need to see her live at some point!

Really need the full studio version of 'Human' in life like...RIGHT NOW.

Listen to the new tracks in full here.
