Treyc was just dull. Sorry but I found nothing interesting about her. Her interviews were dull, her performances were dull.

And Leona Lewis was dull I agree.

The whole outrage over tonight is ridiculous.

For once, the judges CAN'T be blamed for this. It was the public who placed Aiden at the bottom. Simple as.

Much as I prefer Aiden to Katie, and was hoping he'd make the final ultimately, I can't say I'm surprised/outraged over tonight. Being completely honest, Katie pulled herself together tonight and hers WAS the better sing-off. Aiden was, as was becoming the norm, patchy. I agree with Jark - he never managed to match "Mad World", and the problem was that EVERY week all Aiden and Dannii tried to do was to try and emulate it. Ultimately they dug themselves into a hole, because they'd set the bar far too high. They saw the general  reaction to the re-worked Thriller, so why they tried the same trick with Rocket Man is beyond me. LOL at his parting words though. I imagine Dermot for one is quite relieved Aiden is gone.

So glad Katie stayed again this week, I think she'll miss the bottom 2 next week. Paije and Wagner will be bottom 2.
Katie will never poll more votes than Wagner. Know that!

I was upset when Aiden got eliminated :( I can't believe it, I voted for him SO MANY TIMES this week and it STILL wasn't enough!! Ugh! I really wasn't expecting this after the amount of times I voted for him. Gutted. He might not have been pitch perfect I guess, but he was the one I always looked forward to seeing. I hope he becomes an artist anyway, I'd be interested in his music.

Take That's performance was my favourite out of the 3 boybands :)

Oh I didn't see the Xtra Factor when it aired, but there's a video of a Dannii/Konnie bust-up doing the rounds! It's FABULOUS. Konnie inadvertedly accuses Dannii of "dropping the ball", and Dannii unleashes cold fury. Konnie enters a blind panic, holding her hands up to her head and stammering "oh noes, there's so much hostility :( "

Inept as Konnie Huq is, I do feel a tiny bit sorry for her. She clearly KNOWS she's $h!t and she f***ed up :( There's surely not a chance she (or even Dannii) will be back next year.

YES! I'm so glad someone else saw this! I was just telling my flatmate how I'd like to insert a screwdriver/drill into Konnie Huq's head when she gave us that little beauty and I loled all over the place at her general $h!tness. Superb.

i saw that but i thought dannii was moaning to cheryl about louis cos he went on about the song choice just before and then that's what konnie meant by so much hostility but then when cheryl tried to back connie up it made it look like it was konnie she was mad at. though looking back at it she starts moaning before she could have even taken in what louis said. awkward!

I dont think Aiden peaked in week 1. Mad World was indeed his best performance but he'd been a lot more consistant in my opinion that quite a lot of the others.

Mad World was his best perf. It was performed in week 1. And thus he peaked in week 1. Surely?!

Oh and that video is absolutely BRILLIANT. Konnie's "there's so much hostility!" is just absolutely... there aren't even the words. Was she literally thinking aloud or what? There is no way she's ever getting another gig on this show. Or indeed any show I wouldn't have thought. Twitter is AGOG at how awful she is.

WOOOO :cheer:

I didn't mind Aiden, but so glad that Katie is still in. She IS talented, she has had some bad performances (her Elton was average) but her good ones - like her Aguilera - more than make up for it! Even if she is a total bitch, who cares? I don't think she's that bad, she's sometimes stroppy and diva-y, but that doesn't necessarily equal bitch. As a performer she can be bloody amazing.

Obviously Rebecca and Matt are better suited to winning the X-Factor, both have very good voices, but Katie does have a great voice on the right songs (which she often doesn't do on the show - and Katie doing an X-Factor winner's album would be dire - so she shouldn't win, but the exposure should hopefully get her a decent record deal).

Paige has grown on me but he won't win, nor will Wagner (who was actually decent this time!) though I hope the Wagner vote will keep him in til near the final.

Mary I like but she is a bit samey (and her 'There You'll Be', despite the judges' loving it, wasn't great IMO; she was OK this time)

One Direction, yawn. OK this week, but just another same old same old pretty-boy band. That doesn't mean they can't sing (don't think any of them are brilliant though), but it's obvious they will be tailored for a certain market if they win.

Cher I just don't like at all, I don't get why the Katie hate is constant but the Cher hate isn't. Cher has had some good performances, some not so good, but I just don't like her attitude. In the whole Gamu thing Cher was panned as much as Katie, and Cher has also had some bad press, some of which is arguably worse and more justified than any of Katie's, if true.

Paige will be out next, then Mary or Katie, then Mary or Katie, then Wagner, then Cher or (possibly!) Rebecca, as Matt and 1D have the obvious fan votes, and Cher has over 1 million Facebook fans, whereas Rebecca has about 800k less fans (I know this is not concrete but it is an indication of how people like the contestants).

Rebecca, Cher, 1D and Matt final four.

The thing I never QUITE understood was how they took reworking as the lesson from Mad World - singing a couple of harmony lines rather than the main track does not a rework make, and Thriller and Rocket Man were attempts at pretty much full-on remakes which got sod all response! The thing that was quite so appealing about Mad World was how it was so very schizophrenic intense - he never matched it on that front again in the series, but I still think his Diamonds was technically superior...

I'd say the judges CAN be blamed, but only if you didn't blame them last week. I don't really think there's much point of the judges if they can't be there to save someone on fewer votes (i.e. Olly Murs) on occasion because of a blip and a poor week, so no matter how contrived it clearly all was I didn't really mind last week. People who were bitching last week and are bitching again this week are people only doing so just because it's Katie rather than for any reasons of consistency.

Cowell is such a hypocrite. Previous years he always voted out anyone who had been in the bottom 2 more than twice...........because in his own words "the public are obviously just not getting you". Yet he saves Katie who was in the bottom 2 for the 4th time. Ridiculous. Aiden deserved a second chance.

POOR BRAVE Konnie Huq. I do agree that she is terminally useless and awful, and watching her attempting to host is just awful. But theres just something so endearing about her $h!tness I find. Seeing Simon wincing in despare everytime they have that judges questions thing just makes me want her to improve even more. Not that she ever willand theres nothing she can do anymore to stop Matt Edmondson hosting Xtra Factor next year but whatever, at least she gets to be married to Charlie Brooker the lucky bitch!

Paige & Wan4er should have been bottom 2 this week. They are by far the worst 2 left.

IMO the finalists should now be between Rebecca and either Cher or Matt.

After the results show I would say Wand Erection are better than JLS and Pestlife but a million miles short of Take That's talent.

Sorry Aled - I disagree with you about Konnie - She not half as bad as Dermot O'Dreary

Has anyone got the voting stats for all the live shows so far?

Rebecca is duller than a day at Church

Now, now Pestlife are not that bad - at least they have a bit of charisma between them - Wand Erection are about as charismatic as my garden fence :P

Comments from this weekend :

Paije Richardson: I've found it hard to take him seriously lately. If he were to release music I think it would be a song like Forget You. He did put on a good performance, but his vocals have been shown off better in previous weeks 6/10

Aiden Grimshaw: I don't think anything could beat his Week 1 performance for me. He tends to do the same thing every week, but I'm not really sure if it is working that well as he doesn't seem to stand out with the likes of Matt and Rebecca. I'd like him to try something new to try and connect with the public more. 7/10

Mary Byrne: She has a great voice and the performance was much better than last weeks (Although that wouldn't be hard to beat). I don't really want her to win the show though, but I think she can still be successful with the amount of support she has behind her 8/10

Katie Waissel: It was nice to see her having fun on stage. I liked the performance and it was entertaining, but it really wasn't the right song choice to show off her vocals. She won't win the show, but I do feel sorry for her with the amount of hate/negative press she receives 6/10

Matt Cardle: He was always going to have it hard trying to do a better performance than last weeks, but I still enjoyed that and to me it slightly showed off a different side to him 9/10

Cher Lloyd: Cher may not have the best voice, but she is always one of the people I look forward to watching. I wish she would just keep away from the rapping though as she is average at best doing it. Mockingbird is one of my favourite songs for personal reasons, so I was happy with the song choices 8/10

Wagner: He is not entertaining at all and the sooner he leaves the better 2/10

One Direction: So glad Harry had the chance to sing this week and it wasn't just Liam and four backing singers. Judging by the crowd reaction when he started to sing, I'd say Harry is easily the most popular of the 5. Loved the song choice and that was probably one of my favourites from their performances so far 8/10

Rebecca Ferguson: Another flawless performance. I love the tone to her voice and really think she has a great chance of winning if she carries on like this 9/10

Judging by this I would have had Wagner and Paije/Katie in the Bottom 2. Really gutted that Aiden went this week as I feel he had a lot more to give in the competition, whereas I don't think Katie really did. 4 times in the Bottom 2? That surely must be a record

I think they mainly just wanted Wagner and Katie to make the tour and now that they've done that.. I can see them both leaving very soon

Sorry Aled - I disagree with you about Konnie - She not half as bad as Dermot O'Dreary

Whatever you think of Dermot's shtick he is very clearly a thousand times more competent than Konnie.
