I really can't see JLS getting the Number 1 album next week. They will probably have sales of about 150k, but will sell well until the end of the year with their show being shown on ITV1 in December etc..

I expected Take That to be 400,000+today, so i guess 550,000 by Sunday?

Rihanna #2  Pink #4

Not looking good for shayne ward though!

Ellie now #1 on iTunes so she could get the #2 spot by Sunday, doubt she'll catch up to JLS.

JLS' sales for thier album will be interesting - no one expected them to sell 1million of their debut - and thats still selling well [being top 40 now]

Whilst I doubt they'll sell as much as their first album, they are doing the 4 sleeve thing again which will probably help with their sales - I think it will be close.

Westlife - top 3 at best.

Ellie should easily overtake Rihanna tomorrow, she outsold her by 900 copies yesterday (and is now only 300 copies behind) and her lead is increasing.

Other changes are likely to be Westlife down to at least 9th, perhaps 10th (they were only the 13th biggest sellers yesterday) and Nelly could swap with Cee Lo.

Shayne in singles is also vulnerable and looks likely to drop out the 20.

Yep their sales were pretty surprising, but to me their doesn't seem to be as much hype around it.

I remember last year all 4 of the slipcases were in the Pre-order charts on HMV, but only Astons seems to be there this time around.

JLS will easily pass 100k in the singles with CIN in full effect tomorrow, unless a miracle happens from TT

Sabrina is right, Ellie definitely won't overtake Take That, they're too far ahead and she won't get the necessary iTunes lead to do it.

Where is Mcfly in singles?

5+5

I think ellie's lead is going to just continue to grow from this morning till saturday night so i think its possible, if not #2 she'll be close to take that.

Sabrina what was JLS' first week sales for their debut? Do you think they could be #1 next week? Because normally the second album wont have the high sales of the first album. I think the may be able to do it..

Can I now have the Florence position in albums, please? :)

At least from yesterday's midweeks as I'm curious how big the repackaged version's effect is

oooh.... just found another MW report adds to page 1

=================

A total of 29 Beatles songs appear in the OCC top 200 midweek sales flashes today, led by Hey Jude at 48.

There are four songs within the top 75: Hey Jude at 48; Twist And Shout at 52; Let It Be at 53 and Here Comes The Sun at 69, with a further three in the top 100.

Meanwhile, iTunes.co.uk, which has an exclusive deal to sell Beatles downloads until 2011, has 63 of the band’s tracks in its top 200, with Hey Jude leading the way at 25.

On the albums front, iTunes.co.uk has The Beatles 1967-70 best of at six, with Sergeant Pepper at nine and 1962-66 at ten.

Elsewhere on the charts, Take That’s Progress sold another 50,000 copies yesterday, taking its total to more than 350,000.

This leaves it close to the biggest first-week sales of the century: Coldplay’s X&Y sold 465,000 in its debut week in 2005 and Take That’s The Circus sold 432,000 first week in 2008.

Ellie Goulding’s cover of Elton John’s Your Song – as featured in the new John Lewis advert - is also racing up the charts. It is at four in the OCC sales flashes and tops the iTunes.co.uk chart.

Very glad that 'Your Song' is going to be Ellie's highest peaking song, and potentially her first #1, next week! ^_^

She's got 3 days left to get "close" to Take That, and based on:-

(i) currently being 13,000 copies behind them, and

(ii) yesterday's sales (in which she closed the gap on them by a mere 800 copies)

she'd still be more than 10,000 copies behind them, which isn't close at all.

Even if she doubles the size of the gap between her and Take That, she'd still only close by 4,800 copies, which would still leave her 8,000 copies behind, which still isn't close at all.

And anyway, she won't keep double the gap for the rest of the week due to Take That being on Children In Need and the weekend effect looming, unless she herself bags a spot on CIN.

I'm really happy with rihanna's album sales, will be her biggest weeks sales for an album ever i think, got my copy today

the highest ellie will be this week will be no3 she wont get close enough to TT who will have a boost in sales after CIN the top 2 on either charts wont change now

she has a shot at it next week but im not sure if Olly will grab the no1 or not he does have an x factor apperance and an ok song so she will be fighting with him but she wont overtake TT or even get too close to them

TT album sales are gonna be huge on sunday i dont think they'll take Oasis record tho they dont seem to be selling enough day on day

So great to have a top 200 update this week! Thanks to everyone who posted information!

Is Diana Vickers still in the top 200 in singles and/or albums?

If it is possible could i have an update on every Rihanna single and album in the top 200, please :)
