Writing Lucky Day with Martina was so much fun! Channeling sassy and retro made for a cute moment coming up with the ‘Mwah Mwah Mwah Mwah’ and ‘Boom Boom Baby’. I’ve always loved this original demo but we felt the direction was to different as the second single to follow ‘Beat Of My Drum’ so we straightened out the production on it a little. We tried to make it more radio friendly and they didn’t play it anyway! The motto here is, create what you want not what you think people will like. The right people will find it. Grateful for how much time Dragonette dedicated to me that year while making the album. ♥️

I was just going to ask the same question as i couldnt see the release date anywhere, i know there is a delay with production of vinyls so that will affect the release date.

Unfortunately none of these formats count towards the charts anyway, so it doesn't really matter in that sense when the releases happen. The person behind Plastic Pop said that because he does his own distribution, it means they're not chart eligible.

He must not not be linked with the charts company then which is disappointing as it i think Nicola would sell enough to get back in the top 100 at the least again.

None of the new formats are chart eligible or count towards the sales totals, unfortunately, because they’re self distributed by Plastic Pop.

Received my CD today, so excited to listen to the new tracks! :wub:

The new songs are a great addition to a phenomenal album. I can see why they didn't make the final tracklist - obviously difficult to judge when they aren't fully produced - but they're great bonus additions for a second disc and it's so good to hear Nicola's voice on new(ish) music for the first time in SO long! :wub: Heart Racing and Crash are my faves of the new songs, alongside Fix Me and Memory of You of course :heart:

 

I listened to the main album too before the new songs and it's aged like a fine wine - it's still SO good! Singles aside, the title track, Porcelain Heart and Take a Bite are my faves :wub:

I really wanted to get this, but I’ve been out of work for a year and can’t start a new job due to health at the moment. So I couldn’t justify spending the money. May check YouTube to see if the new tracks surface.
