you are not alone sold 193k last year but it didnt say how many physicals they sold unfortunatel;y - anyone know?

will prob do 150k this year,is it just the finalists and olly murs on xfactor tonight then?

I thought Alicia Keys was on too but wasnt listed last night after the show..
What's up with Duffy :o

Terrible airplay ("WWW" drops 62-81 on radio airplay) and video airplay very tiny too, all she has is the promo to maybe get her into the top 40. :(

If you see kate,Foolish,This song,I need a women and The end of the world are much stronger and will leave people very surprised at the new sound of Mcfly

I disagree, I like the songs, especially Foolish, but they're best left as album material. Nowhere Left to Run/ That's the Truth are better for singles, with Take Me There at a push.

They didn't write If U C Kate so I doubt they'll release it, Foolish is just an album ender, This Song is good but not really anything exciting enough to get the Itunes buyers interested. Its more a fan song, as is I Need a Woman. The End of the World would be a strong single but its not their most original track as it relys on the sample from War of the Worlds.

I'm happy they've asked their fans, because if they had done the same in the past we might not have had the disaster of a release which was Do Ya.

Onto the subject of Duffy, I haven't heard the new track? I quite like Duffy, especiall 'Warwick Avenue' by her. The video is so pretty too. I'll have to listen but I have the feeling I'll be disappointed with it if its not doing well. Having said that, I absolutely love Hurts and their releases have done so badly on Itunes :( Probably partly my fault as I haven't bought any of their singles, but I'm getting the album soon so there's no point.

Dreading the obvious number 1 this week. *Goes off to listen to Bowie*.

Just noticed a tribute version of Shine a Light has turned up at 800 and something. Miles away from the top 40 thank goodness, but why do people bother buying these versions?!
So duffy is a one hit wonder? (album wise) :o Thought it was all hyped over her debut and she wouldnt be able to keep it up.
Anything from JLS' album likely to have a crack at the top 40 this week?

'Ay Mama' is likely to be the highest album track, but it won't go near the top 40.

One Shot only got to #81 the week of JLS' release.

absolute awful that that jls rubbish got to number 1 when there are songs far superior to it in the top 5

hopefully justice will be done next week when they fall dramatically in the singles chart and get trounced by take that's progress in the album charts.

There's no doubt in my mind that Jls wont top the album chart next week. Its definitely going to be Take That again.

?

EDIT: Oh, 'Ay Mama' isn't even on the tracklisting... maybe it's only on the planned US release (it features Shontelle)

Yeah, they might do what The Saturdays did, although The Saturdays decided to add Flo Rida to Higher after the album was released.

Watching Duffy on Strictly now ...

Had to mute the TV as the screech in her voice is hurting my ears

I think Well, Well, Well should have been a 2nd single. Perhaps people would have reacted better to Endlessly given that its what people are used to from her. I'm actually loving WWW but I didn't at first listen and I can definitely see how its an aquired taste. I hope the album still sells Ok although it was obvious since the last album that it won't repeat Rockferry's success.
