I remember Rihanna almost had 4 songs in the top 40 earlier this year. Russian Roulette made it, but Stranded, Hard and Rude Boy all charted between #41 and #45 that week. It was so frustrating! grrrr. Take a Bow by Glee Cast charted that same week too, so if those other 3 Rihanna tracks made it, there would've been 5 Rihanna songs between #31 and #40!!

That week:

24 Russian Roulette

28 Rude Boy

41 Stranded (Haiti Mon Amour)

43 Hard

48 Glee Cast - Take A Bow

That was it! So frustrating. Especially Stranded, as I really liked that song. And I was looking forward to the presenter having to explain why Hard charted too.

Although I was sure Take a Bow made top 40, or was that the previous week? Or is my memory just bad? XD

It was #36 the previous week.

I was really disappointed Stranded missed the top 40, I really like that song :(

Thanks. :)

Yeah, I thought Stranded was really good. The song sounded a bit messy, but considering the circumstances of its creation, I thought it was very good.

It was so much better than Everybody Hurts. The track may've been created basically over the phone, but it was a new song, with a great chorus, and the lyrics are actually written about the disaster. Plus, I love Jay-Z's rapping, as usual. And Rihanna is just... Plus, I love the rock influences in the song. It sounds a tiny bit like U2.

Also, the release date of What's My Name? has GOT to be brought forward. Firstly, because it's like 8 weeks until it's released, and it's already #9 on iTunes. Commercial radio stations should be asked to playlist it asap, the video should be sent to UK MTV, and its release can be brought forward to December. The other problem is, if they keep its release date in January, then S&M's release date will be in like March or April or something. So there's going to be a MASSIVE gap between the two songs. If What's My Name? is released next month, then we can get S&M in, say February, and then we can probably catch up with the rest of the world, and perhaps get an extra single in at the end.

More, at least, is better than DJ Got Us Fallin' in Love, which I thought was just a very generic pop song. The only good bit was the bridge in the no-rap radio edit, and the rap verse in the single version. When I went to the US like 3 or 4 months ago, this tune was unspeakably massive. I found it really frustrating.

Also, didn't realize that Nelly and Keri Hilson were so high! :o Is this yet another high charting album track this week, or has it been getting promotion? I like Keri Hilson a lot. Knock You Down and I Like are fantastic, and Turn My Swag On is absolutely phenomenal! Just so catchy! If I was a famous sports player, I'd have Turn My Swag On as the song that gets played when I walk onto the pitch/field/ring/court/whatever.

It sounds a tiny bit like U2.

That might be because 2 members of U2 were involved :P...

Cheryl already up 1 after her Children In Need performance. I saw her, Westlife & Kylie Minogue but went out for half an hour so who else has performed so far that I should be looking for a boost :o?

no one else has performed since Kylie but also performing that are still to come are Alexandra Burke, The Script, The Saturdays, Ellie Goulding and Maroon 5- and some more I think

I believe its release has been brought forward to December 13th! :D

Imagine if your song had been played as part of the elton john week on x factor last week, ellie goulding could even have beat JLS to number1! Is that even out of the question at the moment? Just how big will JLS physicals be compared to the downloads?

You could ask the question that maybe Cowell ordered that Your Song wasnt performed to stop Ellie Goulding beating JLS to the number one. :naughty:

Not to mention 'Make You Feel My Love' as the accompanying song of choice on the 'here's why you should be donating' videos. Expect another mini surge, if it's repeated throughout the night!

Ellie would have to outsell JLS by 12.1k both today and tomorrow to get to #1, which definitely isn't happening.

JLS will get a bigger boost from CIN than Ellie I'd think, as JLS' song is the official CIN single.

Anyway, Adele's MYFML could climb AGAIN, after a good chunk of it was played on CIN -_- Why has everyone spontaneously decided to revive this song?
