November 23, 201014 yr Erm i seen that don't know if to believe it tho same site said last week she confirmed on irish radio that it's 2 people going out for next 2 weeks and only one ended up going out haha
November 23, 201014 yr Its just been on the radio i dont know if its true but the winner's single is ment to be footprint's in the sand - leona lewis was on the radio before i dont know if it's true or not tho
November 23, 201014 yr There is NO WAY I can see Cowell, giving the winner a song which was originally performed by an X Factor winner in fears that "it's better than the original etc... etc..." Unless he's setting this up and hoping for a Rebecca Fergusson win (as she's the only one I think will actually deliver that song well/making it her own so comparisons to Leona won't be made etc...), just like he did with Diana Vickers and 'Halleluljah'. Although that was slightly different as Diana HAD performed it in the bootcamp stages to high praise.
November 23, 201014 yr I'd actually like One Direction to do Teenage Dirtbag. Seriously ... if they just get the two who really can't sing to stand there and look cute it could work. WRT Footprints in the Sand ... how boring! Kath Edited November 23, 201014 yr by Kathyp
November 23, 201014 yr Am not saying it's true but i heared it on the radio and a few people on the leona lewis forum heared it on other station's so could be ... hope not tho
November 23, 201014 yr I reckon they should pick a different song for each contestant to be a potential 'winner's single' rather than have some one size fits all 'I've made it, my dreams have come true' ballad. Listening to this today, and wondering why it's not yet been a huge UK hit, this would be perfect for One Direction, and would be a fairly credible debut single for them imo; xelKgCig0LY First verse: Liam/Harry Chorus: scope for their trademark big harmonies Second verse: whoever else is left Final chorus has scope for Zain adlibs over the top
November 23, 201014 yr I think they should do what American Idol did this year, and let the acts choose what song they want to cover. It would be much better, instead of basically forcing two acts to sing a song. What if they really don't like it, or it doesn't suit them? They're stuffed!

November 23, 201014 yr What, like Leon Jackson singing When You Believe? Yes but 'When You Believe' was abysmal in the first place. I don't know which version is worse; Leon's cover or the Mariah Vs Whitney in a vocal boxing ring original. ** shudders **
November 23, 201014 yr What, like Leon Jackson singing When You Believe?  Well I guess he's the exception :P It would better tho, it might stop all the cliched ballads about the journey, and we might have an upbeat winners song :o (Lee DeWyze's winner song was upbeat, a cover of U2's Beautiful Day)

THIS please.
November 23, 201014 yr I seriously hope that isnt true- what an uninspiring song choice, its an awful song anyway- but because its Leona, they treat it Godly Surely Simon must know that Matt and One Direction are the likely two contenders now? Rebecca looks unlikely now, and Cher has been in the bottom 2 and the other three have no chance- so he'll probably pick a song that will suit their range, when he picked The Climb last year, he was obviously expecting a Joe or Stacey win, as it suited their range, not so much Olly and Danyl's though
