I know I may be alone, but I really can't wait to hear this album! PDLMG and TOM are both pretty fantastic singles. He's definitely the biggest surprise to come from X Factor. I thought he'd be good, but didn't think he'd be quite as good as he is. Really hope this album is huge for him.

I wont be buying the album but i have to say i like the style of music he is doing and he isnt releasing what i would say obvious x factor music.

The cover is truly awful. :o

 

I might give it a listen though, the first single was good and really enjoyable (although being a rip off of Will Young's sound/voice).

Olly does have a similar voice to Will but I don't think it's a rip-off, he sounded exactly that way in Auditions. Also his music is nothing like him, it's more reggae-meets-Paolo-Nutini, with a hint of Madness. Personally I love both (Olly and Will, not Paolo and Madness :lol:) Interested to see what this album will bring...

He was my favourite on X Factor last year and I've liked both of his singles, so I'll give this a listen

I didn't expect something good from him as well. I think he might've been coming up with a more acceptable/decent sound than McElderry (but I do like a bit of 'Ambitions', TBF).

Hope he does really well with it. Two big lead singles and he's relevant with a strong fanbase, he will do.

Didnt think I'd be saying this, but I'm really looking forward to this. I really didnt care much for him on the show, but I've really enjoyed both singles so hopefully the album should be decent.

 

I kind of understand Jack's 'radio friendly' complaint though. There's a very male-Eliza Doolittle thing going on, which means that you can imagine commercial loarding over this rather unbearably.

Never really bothered with him and his music, might give it a listen.

I'm nearly finished listening to his CD now... and it's pretty much fantastic tbh! Pleasentely suprised even if it is a bit too radio-friendly in parts but it's his debut. Highly recommend getting it!

I don't find his music very interesting and I think he is better and more talented than the music he's coming out with. I quite like the idea behind that album cover, even if it could've been executed better.

Christ on a bike that cover is cheap. I'll give it a listen because I review albums and singles and I'll make sure to be unbiased, but his two single so far have received polarised reviews from me.

I couldn't stand Olly on X Factor but I've really liked both his singles and I'm really tempted to get this now.

His singles are catchy and different especially his new one,i really think olly's album is gonna easily outsell Joe McElderrys.

So what do people think? I think it's a pretty solid and decent effort. 'A Change Is Gonna Come' sounds like Will Young covering an old Robbie Williams song! It's quite good. 'Busy' is easily my favourite (behind the singles) though. The album is a lot more mellow than I thought it would be though.
