CHER AND ONE DIRECTION ARE ALL I HAVE LEFT :(

They're the worst ones! Tirren, as ever, you have bloody DREADFUL taste in LIFE

Anyone who thinks X-Factor will become 'dull, depressing and boring' next week without Wagner is clearly someone who doesn't appreciate good music (or an X-Factor judge who isn't Dannii Minogue). He NEVER entertained me until last night when he actually sung and by then it was too late. I'd like a Matt, Rebecca, Mary final. They truly are the best singers left but I have a feeling Cher/One Direction will creep in.

Sooooo.

The two most interesting, entertaining and talked-about contestants (and whether or not you think it was engineered to cause controversy, we DID all talk about them) are gone.

We are left with:

A pretty decent, quite high-voiced singer who can't sing anything approaching the non-pop side of rock and may or may not have an ego greater than his admitted talent.

A pretty, seemingly nice girl (from Liverpool!) who can sometime give very beautiful renditions of classic songs but can easily be accused of being a boring performer and who, if she wins, will be marketed as Leona Lewis mark 2 and be forever labelled as a boring balladeer.

A nice, 'inspiring' middle-aged woman from Ireland who does a nice line in Shirley Bassey impressions, torch songs and, if she was allowed to have a bit of fun, perhaps humorous and/or more disco-y songs, but ultimately will be marketed like Susan Boyle, only without quite such a remarkable story and who would have one big top 5 album before disapperaring back into the small venue and pubs circuit.

A teenage girl with a possibly false or possibly toned down aggressive persona whose main talent is to sing adequately well at a high-school level in between trying to ape popular raps and who needs to decide if she wants to be the new Cheryl Cole or the new Lady Sovereign (and ultimately question if she has the marketability of the former and the talent of the latter).

Five slim teenage lads with slick hair-dos, half of whom can't sing and half of whom aren't good looking, who if they were formed at an audition in the provinces and touted around record labels rather than having X-Factor exposure, would end up with a career nowhere near as successful as Westlife or Take That, nor The Wanted or 5ive, nor even Rooster, but more like Phixx or Northern Line.

Ladies and gentlemen, pick yer winner.

The right people went tonight especialy Wagner but i agree the headline grabbers are gone and now the focus in simply on the show again. Matt just has to win this now ive been backing him from the start and i think he stands a reasonable chance to do well should he win.

I would have been just as happy tonight if Rebecca left as she is a one trick pont for me, as a person she seems lovely but i based on her performances i would never buy a single let alone an album from here as it would bore me to tears, her style just isnt my cup of tea.

Before i go i have to say Dannii Minogue looked darn hot tonight!

Oh Katie. :(

It was expected though I guess and from her reaction she knew she was going!

SO glad Wagner's finally gone.

As for Nicole?! OH YES.

Bieber was dreadful =[.

Didn't see the Wanted but really don't give a $h!t. Awful, awful band.

I can't think of a more dreadfully dull final. Rebecca and Mary both bore me to tears. We are already have Leona Lewis and Susan Boyle, why do we need 2010 clones of them?

I have a feeling it will just be a single elimination next week with Mary going and then a Cher, One Direction, Matt & Rebecca final, which would be perfect imo

Although, theres likely to be an upset before that

I really wish they'd introduce a 'novelty' song theme ... it would have been great to hear Wagner sing Bennie Hill's 'Ernie, The Fastest Milkman In The West' or Cher sing Joe Dolce's 'Shaddapaya Face'.

I know it was never going to happen ... but I wish Mary had gone. She bores me to tears ... and is nothing more than singers you get in WM's and Social Clubs on a Saturday night. Nice lady ... but frig me! She'd send a glass eye to sleep!

Kath

Poor Katie but it was inevitable, she should have stayed over Mary and Wagner both bore me to death.

Well the good thing is we got rid of Waissel but also lost Wagner. Ah well. TBH I'd rather one of them stayed over Mary. She's so dull and I'm over her now but me and my friends enjoy getting together each week to ridicule Katie or laugh at Wagner's facial expressions :heehee:

The Wanted were good but I'm not sure on the song yet. Bieber looked like a lesbian on acid. Hideous. Nicole Scherzinger is not one of my favourite people but that song is damn awesome and Cheryl Cole/Britney Spears - that's how you do a LIVE performance with dancing.

If it's a double next week Ithink Mary and Cher will go. If not Mary is definately a goner. One D, Matt & Rebecca are clearly the big 3 guns for the final and I really have no idea who will triumph and tbh hen I'm drunk the mini-Biebers aren't that bad :o

It's no excuse.

Yes, it is. Not that she has to be 'excused' for gently kind of breaking the so-called "rules" of a TV show. She basically asked Dermott to go back to her after the other judges so she would send it to deadlock and ultimately to the PUBLIC CHOICE. But then Dermott didn't come back to her.

I don't get why people think that makes her miserable or a bad judge ... 'OH GOSH, SHE HADN'T THE BALLS TO GET RID OF ONE OF HER OWN TALENTED ACTS!!!' ... Well, I liked that and the fact she was strong enough to say NO to Dermott when she felt that way. She's not just a robot acting on demand.

I know the case is old now, but I just don't get why it lead to such a vendetta against her.

That's the way I see it, with 2 acts leaving the Saturday final show, hopefully One Direction and Cher/Rebecca, which leaves Matt vs Rebecca/Cher on the Sunday results show

and that would be fully deserved- great, consistent singer

And arrogant unlikeable little arsehole who will flop the same route as Joe.

its a bit early to say that- I think he's far better than Joe was

although I do agree he is arrogant and unlikeable- although, at the end of the day, he is probably the best singer left there

It's not too early, the people voting for Matt are the same who vote for the likes of Joe and Leon.... those who wont buy his music.
