^^was going to say that - thought the m&s one was you should be dancing.would be funning seeing peter kay singing such a serious song with her tho!!

anyway, I am all behind the ellie song - i like it better cover or not. and to the person who said 'poison' was the best pop song of the year?!?! Jesus I would like to hear a poor pop song because poison sounds like any other throwaway pop song thats topped the charts in 2010 and will be forgotten in months let alone years!!

Without the xfactor poison would just hit the top 10 for a week perhaps and be gone forever!!

Oh yeah. Oops. My bad :P

The Killers should just do a Christmas album, tbh. I like the fact none of them are what you'd expect a typical Christmas song to be. But then again, I'm just happy they actually recorded one this year as I was doubtful they would, due to "taking a break" or whatever.

^^They will hopefully package them in an album after they release 10!!

Would love to see this one go top 40 at least!!

David Guetta & Rihanna up to #09! Amazing for a song that has barely any airplay or videoplay as far as I'm aware of! :o

HER NAME IS NICOLE! So pleased is finally number one.

I've not even heard this David G/Rihanna song. Need to get a move on and listen.

#34 for The Killers 'Boots' now! :w00t:

#804 for Alexa Goddard's version of 'Whip My Hair' (With 'Turn My Swag On' at #26)

Also, is anybody else experiencing problems with the Top 300 link? (Top 1000 is fine, but it's just the Top 300...)

Anyone has a doubt if WTC is gonna be the 3rd top 10 Rihanna in the same time? I'm not. It's 9 already and it's only Tuesday... so y not?!

Clearly Turn My Swag On > Whip My Hair then.

I've not actually heard Whip My Hair, but it would have to be pretty phenomenal for me to like it more than Turn My Swag On!

Poison is okay, but it's not amaziing. Then again, neither are the current #2, #3 and #4. Like a G6 is where it starts getting good!

I can't believe Rihanna has 3 tracks in the top 10 now! That's incredible! Although she would've probably done it a couple of weeks ago if Love the Way You Lie Part II was released.

is the killers no34 now ?? :o  hopefully it has a video and gets more promo!!
Had 'Love The Way You Lie (Part II)' not been made "album-only", could we have seen 4 songs this week? Although I guess not as I'm sure LTWYL would have just delayed 'What's My Name''s airplay and stuff...
pity eminem/rihanna is getting caught up in the xmas rush and out of the top 40 after like 6 months!!

Really Really Really hope 'Girls' doesnt make top 10 at any time, ever. #12 right now and hope it stays there or preferably out of the top 1000. :puke:

Olly #3 & #59!

I remember them saying that once they have enough songs they will release an X-mas album.

New version of Fairytale Of New York with Kylie for 2011 single :kink:

It does, really good video actually :D

Amazing for The Killers, maybe Boots will go top 40 :o

7 Xmas classics in the top 100 plus a second version of one of them and one new Xmas song, and it's not even December yet. Crazy.

Although I assume the effect was greater last year around this time, as the Xmas effect gets weaker each year it seems.

Perhaps. Although if LTWYL Part II got no promotion, it might've fallen out by now (although the top 10 effect in itself is a lot of promotion). Plus, when songs go top 10, they pretty likely to get airplay, regardless. The original Love the Way You Lie wasn't confirmed as the 2nd single until a few weeks after the album was released, but radio started playing it before then anyway, so I guess you don't need to be a single if you want airplay, neccessarily. Basically, I don't know.

If Part II was released, the original version probably would've held on in the top 40 for the rest of the year aswell, if what happened with the Empire State of Minds is anything to go by (i.e. promoting one was essentially promoting both).

Amazing for The Killers, maybe Boots will go top 40 :o

i would be surprised if more than 4 classic went top 40 this year tbh!!

I really hope Nicole can be the overall #1. Very good single from her, and it shows the solo career is paying off.
