Yeah, I was being a bit dramatic in my post, but it is my favourite song from 2008, I do listen to it everyday, and I genuinely struggle to find a single flaw with the song.

 

But yeah, it's okay if you guys vote for it. It's just your opinions.

 

The song is pretty popular anyway. When I went to the US on holiday, I was hearing the song all the time on the radio, and they still play it in all the shopping centres and stuff. It's crazy popular over there, I just wish it was in the UK too. I think I've heard it like once on the radio in the UK this year. I remember it vividly, because I almost ejaculated as a result.

 

And about Game Over, I was also joking about it being 'beautiful', but I do think it's one of the best songs in the current top 40.

I can't stand Live Your Life. For starters it samples DRAGOSTEA DIN TEI, and there's NO recovering from that.

I can't stand Live Your Life. For starters it samples DRAGOSTEA DIN TEI, and there's NO recovering from that.

 

I understand that if you don't like a song, then you probably won't like a song that samples it, but surely it's got to be possible to sample Dragostea Din Tei in a way that you can like product song. I mean, there's so many possibilities with sampling.

 

I'm glad the song uses a sample tbh. I was a bit disappointed in a sense, because the album only uses a few samples altogether, whilst on a hip hop album from 20 years ago, it would be normal for nearly all the songs to use samples.

 

However, I admire the artists that still use samples. They're staying true to the origins of hip hop, despite the fact that they know a lot of the public will criticize them for sampling, and despite the fact it costs so much money, and they risk being taken to court (although I guess T.I. is used to that :lol:). It would be so much easier for them to just take the sample out, but I'm glad they don't from time to time.

I actually liked the sample lol. I dont think it fitted in this song what so ever though. Im not a rihanna fan at all and this song certainly didnt help at the time. As I said before. She has released much better songs than this one.

I found it so dark and depressing, much moreso than the likes of Run This Town (which I taught myself to play by ear on the piano yesterday, which I'm full on chuffed about!) and Disturbia.

tbh I didnt really start liking her much until Russian Roulette and the whole Rated R project. I liked her when she went a bit darker. No she has gone back to the poppy dance stuff

I continue to vote for "Run" because I fear it'll win, which would be completely undeserved over something like "Human" or "Black & Gold" :(

Yeah, I think Human is better than Run, but I think there's probably about 10 songs in the poll I prefer to Human.

 

Human would make a better winner than Bad Romance though, imo.
