Ashley Cole's normally good at penalties though isn't he? I'm sure he's always in the top 5. I know when England have been in penalty football shoot-outs before he's always been the 3rd/4th kicker. Not sure about Anelka, but generally the more attacking players are always in line to take the penalties first aren't they? Lampard, Drogba, Malouda, Kalou, Cole, Anelka would all be above Terry in the pecking order imo.

I'm not sticking up for Terry as he's a dick, but if he knows there are better penalty takers in the squad, then it would be foolish to suggest yourself take a penalty, unless it goes to sudden death.

Cole has a pretty successful shootout record, and he's always been infront of Terry for both England and Chelsea. Anelka is a funny one, he completely bottled it in the Champions League final but earlier in the season took the penalty that Chelsea were awarded against Marseille.

A bit dissapointed we've got City in the semis, would have preferred a Derby final! But hey, bring it on. (Providing they beat Reading of course)

Quoted for irony.

My Facebook feed today was pretty much taken up by Man Utd fans moaning they got beat.

That reason right there is why I hate Manchester United.

And Liverpool fans never do that do they? The most hypocritical thing about them is their absolute OBSESSION with us, its hilarious! I still love it how people still believe that there are more City fans in Manchester when you don't have to be there for long to see that that's just a complete lie. Its funny how they've turned into everything they've slagged us off for and more now as well.

What's more hilarious is that I had Chelsea fans taking the p*** out of me yesterday, people who are no where near West London at all! I wouldn't be so upset if we didn't lose to City, that's the bitter pill I have to swallow and the fact I knew this was going to happen makes me angrier. The "fans" that are calling for Fergie to go is really p***ing me off though but well they're the plastic fans that don't know anything about football.. all of which will be supporting City in a couple of years :P

The rivalry between the real fans is brilliant though, the banter about City's empty seats and the whole Tevez going to City and Rooney rumoured to be wanting to go earlier in the season did create some great chants. I fear losing that if BOTH clubs become places for idiots who change teams to whoever is winning and if it happens then they'll see what we've had to deal with over the years as a consequence for success.

There were chants for Fergie out? Seriously?

One of the most successful managers at Old Trafford as well with the club sitting at the top of the Premier League currently? Think the "fans" need to remember where they are, semi-finals in the Champions' League as well as the domestic league position already mentioned.

THIS.

I got called a 'sore loser' by two people today for saying City deserved to win; but that their fanbase has basically become what they complain at us for being. Ridiculous. It's just a stupid misconception that we can't take defeat. Real fans can, if it's deserved, which it was.

No all top clubs fans' do it. They're not used to losing, which is why they get it. I just think they EXPECTED to win, I'm not saying it's all the fans, but it's an absolutely huge majority. There's a huge arrogance about the club. If people can just admit they got beat by a better side then there'd be no where near the fuss. But it's always 'Carrick's $h!t let's sell him' or 'was never a red card for Schloes' - never that Manchester City were the better team (which they were). The thing is with the whole Manchester thing, it probably is quite evenly split. But Manchester United have a bigger support in general. Just like I'd be very surprised if half of fans there in the Man Utd end were actually from Manchester. The club has a huge London fanbase. Just like I listened to 5live last night - 3 Manchester City fans all from Manchester, 3 Man Utd fans NONE of who were from Manchester (or even up north!).

I do find it rich though a lot of Man Utd fans were calling Balotteli an discrace for what he did. Yeah, bet these were the same dimwits that found it funny when Gaty Neville fronted in front of the Liverpool fans after an injury time winner! It's just football. It's not nice to see, but emotions run high.

An interesting final between:

Man City and Stoke

By the way- Is Mario Balotelli gonna get in trouble with FA over his actions with his T-Shirt over the Man Utd fans?

Glad none of the big four (well, the more traditional big four) have got through to the final. Will be in Stoke's corner on the big day.

I don't understand glory hunters. Horrid Sun educated morons. I think the biggest insult is to be called a glory hunter though. Happened to me once after we won the double double in the late 90's. [96/97 is the date that springs to mind] i took great pleasure of shooting them down.

Sometimes we don't deserve the victory, even if it means Man $h!tty beating us. People need to learn to take defeat, even at the hand of our arch enemy's or they should just swan off to be fans of whatever team is winning this week.

Keeping track of United is the only reason i buy the Mirror at work [it's the only one with English football as the other papers all print awful Scottish editions with Rangers and Celtic everywhere.] well, that and keeping track of Liverpool so i can rip the p*** out of my dad.
