We also have the 2nd of the two Selena entries, this time being her debut single, 'Naturally', which whilst being generic RedOne fodder, is still really cute and catchy and suits Selena's vocals perfectly. We also have a somewhat surprising entry from Cheryl Cole, being 'The Flood' which is probably her best song so far, it's completely gorgeous and whilst the lyrics don't make much sense, it's still pretty great. Another one from David Guetta and RiRi too, their most recent collab 'Who's That Chick' which whilst it features heavy autotuning, it sounds FAR better that way and the version without it sounds like a complete mess ironically, proof that autotune in some cases can improve a song. Another one from The Pretty Reckless which I always thought was far superior than 'Make Me Wanna Die', that hook and her vocals on the chorus are seriously immense. Deserved much more than it actually got.

December 7, 201014 yr Good lord Tatton are you ill? 'The Flood' this high up? Though I admit it's by far her best solo attempt since 'Fight For This Love' (or did you hate that one aswell, I bet you did).
December 8, 201014 yr Author I didn't mind 'Fight For This Love', although it was never as good as other people made it out to be. And I adore 'The Flood', easily the best thing she's ever done and most likely will do. The rest has been either a complete non event ('Parachute') or just dire ('3 Words', 'Promise This').
December 8, 201014 yr Naturally isn't generic RedOne fodder, it's generic Rock Mafia fodder :drama: MANY PLAUDITS for including it though, it is thoroughly unappreciated.
December 8, 201014 yr Author Oh ... well it sounded like it was. Either way, sounded like it could be recorded by pretty much any female Disney artist tbh. I still love it though <3.

Personal Chart Run: 09-04-05-06-12-11-19-25-34-37-> 10 Kicking off the Top 40, we have the 2nd of Kelis' entries, the far superior '4th Of July (Fireworks)' which is just sublime imo. We also have X Factor stars, Alex Burke and Diana Vickers, 'Broken Heels' whilst being pretty generic RedOne by numbers and that hot mess of a intro just makes the song quite frankly. And whilst initially hating Diana on the X Factor and claiming her to be the spawn of satan, this was quite the surprise when it wasn't godawful and actually pretty f***ing good! The production on it is amazing, and her vocals actually sound nice on it, how strange! We also have the first of a massive four entries from Ke$ha, the first being her weakest but still amazing single 'Blah Blah Blah', which I feel gets alot of undeserved hate ... I absolutely love it, yes it's trashy as hell but it's Ke$ha, what more where you expecting? Then last of all we have Marina & The Diamonds with the fabulous 'Oh No!' which was severly underrated by the general public (well her whole career actually) as it flopped epicly, but I still adored it and that chorus is one of the finest of ohten.

Personal Chart Run: 10-07-08-04-09-10-> 06 [still Charting] Getting to 10/10 moments now. First of those being Katy Perry's third single from 'Teenage Dream', inspirational lyrics (aside from that daft plastic bag lyric at the start) that are actually decent are a rare thing, so well done Ms Perry, the chorus is unbelievably uplifting and just leaves you with a smile on your face. I don't however think the video is as good as people make it out to be, it feels a bit too try hard to be 'omg this is so inspirational!!' and the bit with the fat girl coming out of the water always makes me laugh, still an amazing song though. We also have hot topic of the moment, Willow Smith, when I heard she was only nine years old, yes NINE, as in she was born in 2000 ... crazy, I was put off to say the least but I can't help but appreciate the amazing catchiness of the song, and the verses in particular are amazing. Like The Bieber, the haters will always be FAR more annoying than the girl herself, like she sings 'don't let haters get me off my grind' yoll. We also have the second of four Ke$ha entries, the summer anthem, 'Your Love Is My Drug', which is also ridiculously feel good despite a random 'I like your beard!' closer which is just truly bizzare really, but it is definetly among Ke$ha's best I think. We also have newcomer of the moment, Jessie J, who is looking to be amazingly promising, here she showcases her impressive vocals in 'Who You Are', which is a beautiful song, I adore the stripped back production of it and how vulnerable her voice sounds on it ... just gorgeous imo, adore the lyrics too, alot of people can relate, myself included. And lastly we have a Will.i.am / Nicki Minaj song which I thought was complete trash at first but I have come to ADORE it, Nicki's verses in particular are amazing, and althoug there isn't all that much to it, I think that's part of it's charm.
December 9, 201014 yr 035 // Katy Perry - Firework Nice song. The meaning behind it is better than the actual song itself though. 034 // Willow Smith - Whip My Hair Getting boring for me, although it's still alright. 033 // Ke$ha - Your Love Is My Drug Meh. Just a very weak 'Tik Tok' imo. 032 // Jessie J - Who You Are Stunning. Absolutely glorious. I agree about her vocals  031 // Will.I.Am & Nicki Minaj - Check It Out This is very good. Although not exactly ground breaking as some like to make it out to be... 5 out of 5 for that section :D

First up we have Glee with their cover of Journey's 'Don't Stop Believin', I'm not ashamed to admit that I prefer their version to any other and think it pisses all over the fairly lifeless original and Joe McElderry's boring version. It's ridiculously feel good and instantly sends me into a good mood, and it just works so well. At #29, we have my favourite song from Alicia Keys' latest album, 'The Element Of Freedom', it really is a beautiful lyrics and I love how her vocals sound so deep, soothing and rich ... so gorgeous to just chill out to, a great shame it didn't do better than it did. At #28 we have the highest of newcomer Jessie J's entries, now with blatant soon to be 2011 #01, 'Price Tag', she sounds phenomenal performing it live I think and is how 'Billionaire' would sound if it was actually done right. At #27 we have the first of three Sats entries (yes three in the Top 30, rubbishgai!1), with the amazingly underrated 'Missing You' which is easily one of their finest moments I think, the vengeful lyrics disguised in a great pop club ballad melody, that only they could really pull off. And lastly we have Shontelle with 'Impossible' which sounds like the sequel to 'Unfaithful' imo, it has a haunting sounding production to it and her vocals sound at their best on it, the chart run shows I only got into it later on and fully appreciated how amazing it was.

Personal Chart Run: 02-01-03-05-09-16-22-32-36-> 09 Approaching the Top 20 now, and just missing out we have these five gems. The first of them being Lady GaGa's 'Alejandro', a Summer anthem if ever there was one, shame it was accompanied by that frankly bizzare video that didn't suit the song whatsoever, oh well, it's still one of GaGa's finest moments and although it strangely feels a bit 90's, it still manages to stay edgy, cool and current, that's the force of the GaGa. We also have two Pixie Lott entries, and whilst they may be a tad generic, I can't help but adore both, 'Turn It Up' is the ultimate 'f*** you, I'm gonna be okay' kinda song, it has a mega chorus and alot of people can probably relate to it too which is part of it's charm I think. 'Gravity' is a little different, and whilst it may be fairly similar to 'No Air' (doesn't bother me, amazing song), it still manages to sound slightly different and I don't know, there's just something about it that I love, as a sidenote, all of 'Gravity', 'Turn It Up' and 'Broken Arrow' are FAR better than 'Mama Do', 'Boys & Girls' and 'Cry Me Out' imo, weird. We also have another entry from Queen RiRi, this time the second single from 'Rated R', 'Hard', her 'ghetto' song I like to think. The production on it is actually amazing, and her swagger and confidence singing the lyrics kind of makes the song and she also looks completely fierce in that video. And last but not least, we have rubbishgai's anthem 'Get Outta My Way', which is probably my favourite Kylie single since 'Love At First Sight'! Shame both 'All The Lovers' and 'Better Than Today' were kind of painful.

Kicking us off we have 'grime' collective Roll Deep, with their second single of the year, the infectious 'Green Light', the bassline, slick production and the hook all equal to amazing charttopper of a single, Tania Foster's vocals compliment it perfectly too. At #19, is an artist I usually despise, with 'Low' being actual earrape, but 'Club Can't Handle Me' is an anthemic club track that will have you dancing guaranteed ... the slow buildup of the first chorus to the energetic verses make it amazing, plus the unknown female vocals kind of make it as well. Perfect party anthem and EASILY Flo's best by a country mile. At #18 we have the third of four Ke$ha entries, this one being the fourth single off of her 'Animal' album ... It's a gritty, trashy and in your face party anthem that you just can't ignore and really is what Ke$ha is all about and what she does best, this being the prime example of it (well one single is still to come so maybe not ...). At #17 we have newcomer, Natalia Kills, who is hopefully going to be HUGE in 2011, the slick 'Mirrors' is an audio delight ... like a darker version of GaGa, and more R&B version too ... the lyrics don't make a whole lot of sense, but the production is perfect as is her vocal delivery on the song. At #16 we have a song I initially would be a Top 20 hit at best in the UK, then shocked everyone when it went on to be a huge Top 3 hit, 'Happiness' is probably THE feel good song of the year, probably the best song to sample Deadmau5 (has there been others? I dunno), but it works perfectly .... the hook is infectious as are the little 'mmm mmm mmm mmm's throughout the song which are even slightly 90's ish, hopefully Alexis has got a decent career ahead of her! Listen to Deadmau5 - Brazil (2nd Edit) and it sounds like Happiness with Alexis taken out. And others have been Ghosts N Stuff, originally an instrumental before Rob Swire (think he's from Pendulem) recorded vocals on it and made it a top 20 hit.

First we have one of my favourite newcomers of 2010, Marina & The Diamonds with her first proper single 'Hollywood', which is addictive as hell. Her unique vocals, the cleverly wrote lyrics and THAT line that I quoted make for one of the best pop songs of the year. It's a real shame she never got the success she really deserved, she's a hell of a lot better than Ellie Goulding imo, who I like but is a bit bland compared. At #14 we have a song from the best girlgroup around atm, The Saturdays, with ther ultimate feel good song 'Higher', it's almost perfectly produced and is one of their best songs by a long way along with 'Ego' and 'Up'. At #13 we have one of the most underrated songs of the year, it so should've been a hit and is easily commercial to have been so why it wasn't is beyond me! Kid Sis is one of my favourite discoveries of the year actually - she has an amazing personality and feels really genuine. 'Daydreaming' is another feel good song, it's fairly simple in it's structure but it's just so enjoyable imo. At #12 we have another track from Queen RiRi, this time the lead from her current album, 'Loud. I will admit when I first heard it, I was disappointed as I thought it was another typical Guetta track (even though it's strangely not produced by him!), but it's SO much more anthemic than the likes of 'Commander' - that chorus is just mega! And for some reason her vocal delivery on it, makes it sound unique in a strange way. At #11 we have the highest from The Sats, with their favourite song of mine, 'Ego', that hook is one of the best hook's/bridge's ive heard in a LONG time, near perfection imo, like 'Higher', it's perfectly produced and just works so well ... glad it's one of their biggest selling now too! December 14, 201014 yr I don't much like Hollywood, the only good thing about it is the 'OMG you look like Shakira' line, amazing lyric. Have not heard your number 13 but it features Cee Lo so I could like it. And of course I love Only Girl and anything by Rihanna I love!
December 15, 201014 yr Stunning 11-15! All amazing. (Bar Rihanna which is just "good") The Saturdays in particular. I agree with the fact that them two are easily their best songs.
