December 9, 201015 yr Rumours are flying that all 4 X Factor winner's songs will be released onto Itunes. If true, this forum will go into meltdown won't it? Are all of them chart eligible, I hope not or the UK Top 10 will be messed up with 4 X Factor singles, 2 campaigns (Bird is the Word, Silence) and only 4 normal (or Xmas) songs.

Why would that be a problem..worse going on in the world. It would be interesting though all 4 being released and if the winners single didnt peak the highest lol
December 9, 201015 yr -the X-Factor tune :puke2: which is a sad excuse to massacre an old forgotten song by David Bowie, I wonder what is next for Simon Cowell, to cover a bulgarian movie theme from the 40's??? Hold on, WHAT? Ask the average person in the street and they're more likely to know "Heroes" than either "Hero" or "You Are Not Alone", despite the delusions of some posters. "Heroes" regularly comes in 100 Greatest Song Ever countdowns, to say it's forgotten is like saying "Everybody Hurts" is forgotten -_-
December 9, 201015 yr I find it funny when that happens. Another example is how Glee got to no.2 with Don't Stop Believin' while Journey's original and much better version only got to no.6. At least Journey will outsell Glee's version. At least Glee's version brought a new side to the song that wasn't COMPLETELY inappropraite as the BEPs' 'cover' is. I can understand fully when someone says they prefer Glee's version of DSB, I'd blink incredulously if someone honestly thought "The Time" was better than the song it steals from.
December 9, 201015 yr POOR WILLOW :( Gutted. Would've been amazing to see her at #01, it's such a tune and would've broke a lot of records too. And for all those who want to personally attack a little girl, get the f*** over yourselves. Just because she's famous doesn't mean that she has super emotions or heightened barriers moreso than any other 10 year old. You wouldn't go up to someone's child and call them these names so pack it in. You can hate the song, find it irritating, even just dislike the principle but don't attack her just because you're mad that a 10 year old has a massive single. She was so right you know, she sang about haters and everyone was like "what haters does a 10 year old have?". Funny that, it's some of the same people who are becoming disgusting towards her. It's almost like she knew she would be attacked by prats.
December 9, 201015 yr Great to see Black Eyed Peas number 1, Coldplay climbing, Bon Jovi top 10 in the albums and Take That number 1 buuuuutttttttttttttt................................. IM GUTTED Kylie isnt top 25 now, i was sure she would stay top 25, i hope she can clinb back into it in the remainder of the week but its likely now it will be lucky to stay top 30.
December 9, 201015 yr poor Kylie, another release another flop, same goes for all veteran acts in the download era ..such as Madonna, Pet Shop Boys, Janet Jackson, U2 to name but a few.
December 9, 201015 yr poor Kylie, another release another flop, same goes for all veteran acts in the download era ..such as Madonna, Pet Shop Boys, Janet Jackson, U2 to name but a few. Would hardly call Madonna a flop act in so called download era :o , 4 Minutes hit no 1 on downloads alone before it was released physically a week later  . Your clearly referring to Miles Away single :( TRUE it was Miles Away from her normal chart postions ( ie mainly hitting the top 10 with most of her releases since 1984 :w00t: ) BUT with no promo, no video, little airplay & the song referred to as "The Divorce Song" hardly encouraging ppl to buy it :( . Kylie & Janet both did promo ie X-factor but they still flopped. Madonna has 1 song that flops & shes written off as a 1 hit act

It was even included on her Celebration DVD of music video clips.
December 9, 201015 yr I hate the top 2. So, dont care who will win this chart battle. -_- Poor Kylie. It looks like she will miss out on the top 30 this time. :(
December 9, 201015 yr Yay! Black Eyed Peas #1!!! :w00t: I'm relatively happy about that. :) I just heard Scott Mills begging people on the radio to buy Willow's song. I think he knows the BEPs are in the lead now.
December 9, 201015 yr poor Kylie, another release another flop, same goes for all veteran acts in the download era ..such as Madonna, Pet Shop Boys, Janet Jackson, U2 to name but a few. Get Outta My Way was hardly a flop, it may have missed the Top 10 but it has sold quite well considering.
December 9, 201015 yr "Miles Away" did have a video though! It was even included on her Celebration DVD of music video clips. Yeah months after it was released not months before to give it promo etc

Lets wait untill the next Madonnas next musical project before we judge her place in the download era. I still have the feeling that she will have a big first single then drop off like Kylie but not to the same degree.
December 9, 201015 yr Get Outta My Way was hardly a flop, it may have missed the Top 10 but it has sold quite well considering. It only spent like 2 weeks in the top 40, that's quite a flop, considering the amount of exposure it got. Same goes for BTT.

NO. She will be back & it will be a new era i think She will know the score now in the biz she has survived for nearly 30 years so is used to trends etc She will find a way of being in the spotlight & making it happen musically look what happened after American Life... CONFESSIONS happend After Hard Candy there will be .....?? something bigger after each smaller hit album she bounces back even more with something bigger & current. 2011 we await you with No1 album, No1 single/s, no1 tour if happens? No1 film Come on 2011. :w00t: :w00t: Edited December 9, 201015 yr by stevejb4u
December 9, 201015 yr But Kylie herself is proving that promo is not the cure for everything and is in fact a waste at the moment, plus Madonna already moved on from the regular record-contract methods, she had quotes like "you can't download a live show", she will not be bothered about #1 albums and singles because she doesn't need it. It's the fate of established acts, even though fans think they will remain successful due to their name. Neither Kylie herself is losing sleep over her chart performances, but unlike Madonna, it's unclear whether she will keep on recording music for the sake of it.
December 9, 201015 yr Promo isn't a waste, but if the public don't like the song they won't download it. That is the problem Kylie faces right now. She could have been on every show possible and it would not have made much difference to her chart positions.

Plus Radio 1 and the like haven't playlisted this, her first since she came back in 2000 as well. That's bound to have a negative effect...
