[***] 111| Lil Wayne & Cory Gunz - 6 Foot 7 Foot

Is this the song that's #1 on US iTunes at the moment? By that logic, it should be a hit here, but factoring in that it's Lil Wayne and it's the UK, I'm a bit doubtful.

Why has 'SOS' flown up the iTunes chart?

Royal Variety Performance. And presumably it's the next single.

Is this the song that's #1 on US iTunes at the moment? By that logic, it should be a hit here, but factoring in that it's Lil Wayne and it's the UK, I'm a bit doubtful.

1. Is it top 20 on US iTunes and by a non-UK artist?

NO: Might still be a hit a la 'Beautiful Monster', but most likely a flop.

YES: Move to Question 2.

2. Is it from the genre of country?

NO: Move to Question 3.

YES: Might still be a small hit a la 'Need You Now', or a big hit if popped up for UK release a la 'Love Story', but most likely a flop.

3. Is it by Glee Cast?

NO: Move to Question 4.

YES: Will be a fleeting hit, peaking anywhere between 9 and low top 100 and spending 1-6 weeks in the top 100 (very occasionally higher than 6 weeks). The only exception to this rule so far is 'Don't Stop Believin''

4. Is it an album track with no planned UK or US release?

NO: Move to Question 5.

YES: No chance of making UK top 40, but could make the official top 100 for 1-2 weeks.

5. Is it by Lil Wayne?

NO: Almost certain to go top 20 in the UK.

YES: Anywhere from low top 30 to low top 100, might have longevity ('Drop The World'), might not ('Right Above It').

This questionnaire works 95% of the time.

So by this logic, expect these to become UK top 20 hits at least:

Bruno Mars - Grenade

Ke$ha - We R Who We R

Wiz Khalifa - Black And Yellow

Trey Songz feat. Nicki Minaj - Bottoms Up

Waka Flocka Flame feat. Roscoe Dash and Wale - No Hands

Diddy - Dirty Money feat. Skylar Grey - Coming Home

Enrique Iglesias feat. Ludacris and DJ Frank E - Tonight (I'm F**kin' You)

Chris Brown - Yeah 3X

Of those I'd say Trey, Waka Flocka and Chris have the least chance, Trey because I don't know if that's even going to get a release here, Waka Flocka because it seems a bit TOO US urban to be a hit here (but look at BedRock) and Chris because I think the UK are less forgiving of criminals in music (see T.I.'s career collapsing and Chris Brown's last couple of singles only going low top 30/40 respectively)

Anyways,

91. 6 Foot 7 Foot (feat. Corey Gunz) - Lil Wayne & Corey Gunz

You should totally draw that as a flowchart
You should totally draw that as a flowchart

I should, but I can't be arsed with the effort :kink:

What happened to Cee Lo Green - It's OK? From top 50 yesterday morning, to #221 yesterday afternoon and now back up to #114? Did it get deleted and then re-added or something? Very annoying just when it was starting to make progress :(

EDIT: Actually I just checked and I think his whole album must have been deleted and re-added again for some reason, as the current one has a different cover and release date (14th December 2010) :/ Re-release already? I don't even see anything different tracklisting-wise. Baffling.

As you can probably tell, the 'previous' positions are very old.

Aberlour Choir & Gamu Nhengu seem to have dropped out of the top 300, will be lucky to make the official top 100 :o

Gutted... it's probably the best actual Christmas song this year, not that I've bought it yet...
Well Pixie Lott is flopping like mad with Can't make this over(despite it being out next week) So is miley cyrus - who owns my heart. Pixie's album is down to 4.99 on hmv.com!! I think turn it up is a sure in for 800k-900k.
It was less effort than drawing a flow chart :P

Was still effort. :P

The Flood finally top 40, #36. (Cheryl's)

The Silence already out of top 40, #41.

Nothing #45, it hasnt done brilliantly, but its been hanging around for quite a while now just outside top 40. Hasnt entered top 40 officially has it? Which is a shame.

Jungle, #46 - Pro Green.

SOS #47, when is the release date for their second single? It surely wont do brilliantly due to their album success.

Where is Cee-Lo Green (20th dec) with It's Ok?

Where is Pixie Lott (20th Dec) with Cant Make This Over?

Hope Katy B & Miss Dyanmite dont get anywhere near top 40 with Lights On :puke:

Good to see Kylie still top 60, its been kylies weirdest chart run to date its dropping and rising like anything, if the performances of the singles were done more closely togeher and tied in more with the phyisical she would have achieved a far higher peak.

Reading this, a casual music fan would probably think it's a joke, but this is actually so true!!!

And I really like Lights On! I think it's pretty much a cert for top 20 at least, to be honest.

I'm not surprised, no promotion; I wouldn't even know it was out if I didn't come on this site, and it is one of the silliest decisions to release as a single, especially when there's 'Coming Home' on the album.
