iTunes Popularity Bars

Pretty sure Cheryl will be getting her first flop single with 'The Flood'.

Shame really, seeing as it's also her first decent single.

She'll Get Top 20. She's #37 atm.. Alan Carr show should put her top 20 seeing how close pop bars are proberley higher. Erm.. She sells good physicals so i think top 15 is the most likely outcome, however this is alot better than the awful 3words.

if biffy and the trashmen fall quick enough from the top 10 it will be a battle for the top 10 between coldplay, katy perry and rihanna/guetta.

Pixie Lott - Can't Make This Over! #603

I dont understand why she's not getting radio or tv support, her debut album is 700k+. It's not a bad single, after a couple of listens its brilliant. Of course Coming Home will do amazing here though with radio,tv and itunes.

10. Ben Hazelby, Jamie Hazelby & Chris De Burgh - Lonely Sky

Anyone know where this has suddenly come from, and why it's so high?

What the...?

I genuinely don't have a clue. I googled it and couldn't find anything. I facebooked it and found this:

Also, the comments on iTunes are things like "Well done guys", and "For a great cause", so I think it's a charity song. It seems to have had no promotion though, unless I guess it's by word of mouth or something.

Apparently it was on Noel's Christmas Presents. Though I'm not sure how many people actually watched that  Bizarre either way.

This is it on Youtube, by the way, for anyone who wants to listen to it:

A legendary record producer has made a song in his Cookham studio which featured on Noel's Christmas Presents programme at the weekend.

Stuart Epps, who has worked with Elton John, Oasis and Led Zeppelin in the past, was asked to work on a charity single with star Chris De Burgh and two brothers who were surprised as part of the Sky One show, fronted by Noel Edmonds.

Aired yesterday evening, the household name's seasonal show sees treats handed out to the nation's 'most deserving, hard-working and selfless people'.

One feature saw teen brothers Ben and Jamie Hazelby, from Manchester, rewarded for their tireless charity work since the death of their 41-year-old mother Gill, whose favourite song was Lonely Sky by Chris De Burgh.

Their dreams came true when programme-makers arranged for them to record a version of the song with the Lady In Red singer himself.

Stuart recorded Chris' vocals in a London studio while the brothers went along to his Station Studios in the heart of the village to sing their part. "The boys were over the moon and Chris De Burgh was marvellous", he said.

Proceeds of the track will go to St Ann's Hospice in Greater Manchester, which the family has been on a fundraising drive for.

as taken from Sky 1's website, although I'm surprised its this high :o its for a good cause though ^_^

I hope Rihanna manages to hold off Katy B for the #2 spot then hopefully (even if it only has little chance) go #1 early January like 'Bad Romance' did :D

I was thinking 'what the hell is CHRIS DE BURGH doing in my iTunes top 10?'

I doubt anybody actually cares, but it's something I found slightly amusing. In Digital Spy's review of Miami 2 Ibiza, they said this:

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/singlesr...mi-2-ibiza.html

Urban British pop and commercial European dance are now such comfortable bedfellows that this collaboration between an trio of Scando knob-twiddling types and the best thing to come out of Plumstead since Shampoo barely raises a brow. Up next: Basshunter ft. Ms Dynamite?

The reviewer was obviously joking, but it's kind of like 50% happened.

This must be the most random track to come out from nowhere :o , so that's 2 new entries next week, along with Katy B.

The Flood by Cheryl Cole could also be a new-entry in the top 40 next week, although it is already top 75, so it's not strictly a new entry.

I'm surprised with how well songs that have come from Sky 1 progammes do in the charts. The same thing happened with the songs used in 'Must be the Music.' Could we end up seeing more artists appearing on Sky1 shows to promote their material in the future?

Matt's popbar is now slightly bigger than yesterday.

ISTM people have taken one look outside, and said 'sod the physical single, we'll just download it'!

Probably more to do with the Winner`s Story on Saturday night where they played the video at the end. I have a feeling his sales this week might just come close to last week, given that this week should be frantic on the high street right up until Friday.

No chance in hell - no previous XF winner has ever done more than 55% of their 1st week sales, on week 2.

IMO he'll be doing very well to break 200k.
