I think maybe the reason LO is doing so well is because it's a quiet week. I know it sounds a bit stupid, but as there's hardly anything else out, people that like it but not enough to buy it other weeks because they're busier will buy it because they don't have any conflicting songs they may buy instead. Anyway, I do quite like LO, and want Katy B to be very successful, so good luck to her :)

If The Trashmen are replaced in the top 10 by Biffy Clyro (or Katy Perry) the overall quality of the top 10 will skyrocket. I'll pretty much love everything in the top 10 except Whip My Hair (and Lonely Sky which I haven't heard, but hey, it's for charity :P)

I agree. Then I at least quite like every song that's in the top 10 bar that Lonely Sky (which I've actually heard and don't like, but I'll let it off because it's for charity :))

Is there any chance that Ellie will benefit from that itunes gift card and grab that number 1 (instead of what's my name :puke2:)?

Or Tinie Tempah? Any of those two would be great first number 1 for 2011

Yes, there are officially 2 more sales weeks in 2010. I'd personally classify the week coming as the last week of 2010 but I'm generally a week ahead of the 'official' starts and ends of the year :P

 

Ms. Dynamite had a small hit earlier this year with her DJ Zinc collab Wile Out which got to #38.

No chance in hell - no previous XF winner has ever done more than 55% of their 1st week sales, on week 2.

 

IMO he'll be doing very well to break 200k.

But equally, no X Factor winner has released their song so far away from Xmas and been able to benefit from 6 full shopping days before Xmas in their second week.

 

Added to that, the terrrible weather for pretty much the latter half of last week which will certainly have impacted on his physicals, and I'd imagine by quite a large amount too.

 

I reckon he'll easily hit more than 200k this week, probably 300k at a push.

In my opinion Lights On & KOAM are both great tracks.

Katy B & Ms. Dynamite are now very close to overtaking WMN? and the Skream remix of Lights On is #264

I don't really mind which of the 2 is #2 this week, it's gonna be a great top 3 either way.

Too right. This week will pretty much equal last week`s across the board in terms of sales - singles and albums. The high street will be frantic by Wednesday.
