I'm glad established artists do flop from time to time. It makes the competition tougher and less predictable and it gives a clear message to the artists they should be more careful selecting songs for singles or promoting them.

The chart would be so boring if the likes of Kylie were grabbing the top spot with every release, don't you think?

Yeah the big hits of the year tend to get a boost after Christmas from people who get iPods and iTunes vouchers for Christmas. This ain't going anywhere until mid-late January.
