Disgusting.

Aso Mohammed Ibrahim won the right to remain after an appeal by the UK Border Agency was rejected by an Asylum and Immigration Tribunal.

He fled the scene, leaving her dying beneath the wheels of his car. Hours later her father, Paul Houston, had to make the decision to turn off her life support machine.

However, Ibrahim's lawyers argued that his human rights would be contravened if he were sent back to Iraq.

Now, two senior immigration judges have rejected a final appeal by the UK Border Agency to have him deported.

Ibrahim will now be allowed to live in the UK permanently.

So basically if you come here and have a kid you can stay? He should be deported, screw his human rights. He gave that up when he left this girl to die

And he only gets 4 months in jail. Disguting. This story has really angered me. In any other country he would be deported. Why is Britain so soft and open to so many asylum seekers. There has to be a limit surely. This twat should be deported asap.

How can they say they are depriving him of his human rights by sending him back?

The only person here who has been deprived of human rights is the girls father.

Don't talk such nonsense. What proportion of the world's asylum seekers do you think come to the UK? The truth is that the 28 EU countries between them take in well under 10% of the world's asylum seekers. Of that figure of well under 10%, the numbers coming to the UK per head of population is below the EU average.

And why are you so keen to see this man deported? Why do you want to deprive his children of their father? As for his prison sentence, were you in court for his trial? No, thought not. No doubt you also haven't heard or read what the judge said when passing senrtence so you have no idea what his/her reasoning was.

Is this is a seriou question?

He is criminal and not giving any positive to our country at all.

Do you really think his children should be around him? I think depriving them of him is a GOOD thing for them.

I can only assume you are a close friend of his because the man is scum.

And 4 months is disgusting no matter what way you look at it

He has a string of criminal convictions as well so why is he still here? I just don't understand.

I dont expect people at Buzzjack will agree and most will come to this mans defence.

Isnt it funny that if Iraq is so bad, you would of thought he would appreciate being allowed asylum here and not abuse his rights by acting like a thug.

So Suedehead, why do you think this failed asylum seeker who is only allowed to stay here because he has kids, should be allowed to stay despite committing several offences such as theft, burglary, drug charges, and now the killing of an innocent girl.

If you think he should be anywhere near his kids you are drunk

I may as well just agree with BuzzJack though and say this man has a 'right' to stay because of his 'family life'

I am so glad Mr Ibrahim was not deported and his asylum status was not revoked. It just proves what a great country we live in. We put the rights of all foreigners before ourselves. I feel happy with that thought. It is awful of the government wanting to deport him just because some 12 year old child got in the way of his car and died. We should be grateful that he is so considerate in trying to save UK insurance companies money by not having any car insurance - imagine what they would have had to pay out. And besides, what is one more conviction amongst his already expanding list of other convictions. Our courts have done a good job on insisting he remains in the country. And to prove the point I will raise a toast and drink to his next victim (possibly rape victim - who knows).

Lets not forget of course, how happy, glad and grateful we should all be that our tax money has been used to provide Mr Ibrahim with the all the legal aid so he can have nice solicitors and barristers to fight his case for him...... Hooray to to paying tax!

Is that better and more fitting with BuzzJacks liberal bull$h!t?

Firstly, you don't actually know if there were any mitigating circumstances that contributed to him committing the crime in the first place.

Secondly, it's been more than 7 years since he did it - if he's reformed himself into a contributing member of society, it's to all of our benefits that he stays here.

Oh dear.

If he had been deported after his 1st offence in the UK this girl would be alive today.

Its clear Buzzjack is jsut full of pathetic liberal lefties who run to the defence of scum. Im leaving this thread now because Ive said my opinion and clearly everyone else just wants this man to stay to commit more crimes. Thats the problem with this country, always sticking up for criminals and their human rights. What about the victims?

'Liberal lefties' being people who actually make judgements based on the facts rather than baying for mindless tabloidese retribution? If you re-read my post, you'll see I didn't actually say I definitely agreed with the decision - I said IF he'd turned into a contributing member of society he deserved to stay - but, like you, I wasn't present at the tribunal, hence I don't know the full facts of his life.

To be honest, usually, I am one of those 'bleeding heart' lefties, but I think this guy should have been deported. To drive off an leave a child under the wheels of a car. For heaven's sake ... the guy only had his own kids way after the incident. I doubt he sees his kids as anything other than a 'visa to stay in Britain' ... probably why he fathered them.

I don't totally agree with the way Shelli has worded her posts ... but bottom line ... I agree with her.

Kath

I must say i am with Kath and Shelli. I think the immigration policy we have in this country is nothing short of ridiculous.

As far as i am concerned you declare Asylum on the way in. If you are here illegally for 5years and then claim asylum once you are caught you can f*** right off. If you have an exceptionally strong case for asylum, i'd allow them to stay after spending time in a detention centre for being in this country illegally.

I have no problems with legal immigration, or those claiming asylum. I do have a problem with those who come here illegally, work illegally then only cry asylum after they've been caught staying here illegally. Our border force should really follow the Aussies no nonsense approach. You are caught here illegally, you are taken to an immigration detention centre while your case is investigated and from there you are either deported or allowed to stay.

The fact that we don't have exit controls is ridiculous. We have no need to check the EU citizens in and out as they have a legal right to be here, but we need to ensure that those that come here from poorer countries on 'tourist'/'student' visa's actually leave at when the visa runs out.

I'm not even going to bother properly reading this, it's really uneeded of Shelli to post 4 posts in a row, let alone do that twice in one thread. i also find it humourous how after 2 people disagree with her that means Buzzjack are all "liberal lefties".
I'm pleasantly surprised at Shelli's sudden command of spelling, punctuation and grammar. Otherwise I'm with Chris and Danny.

So you don't have any compassion for Amy's family? I do find it strange how victims these days get no support or sympathy in cases such as these. And this is only one such case. Everybody is more concerned with the rights and feelings of the offender.

Kath

Agree 100% with Shelli that this scumbag should be deported on the very next plane. Absolutely disgusting. This country is far too soft and is all about the criminal and not the victim.
