August 22, 201113 yr I absolutely loved it! :D I didn't go into this film with particularly high expectations, despite enjoying the TV series, so I was so pleased that it was excellent.
August 24, 201113 yr Seen this twice in five days now. Love it, I think they got the balance between staying true to the series and going all cinematic just right. It felt like a proper big screen expansion rather than just an extended episode, and it's flattening EVERYTHING at the box office. Incredible, second biggest opening weekend of the year and if you take Harry Potter out it's the biggest opening since Toy Story 3 :o
August 24, 201113 yr Ah this was so so funny! So much hype around it so was worried it may not be as good, but it was actually better. Hilarious!
August 25, 201113 yr I just saw this and to reiterate other posts I was worried it was overly hyped and therefore not as good as made out, but it was SO GOOD. Truly hilarious. It kept the momentum up all the way through too whereas I thought it'd have the odd LOL moment and that's it - but the whole film was peppered with hilarity and quotable lines. I hope they end it all here tbh because it was a very good last outing for them, but I fear more TV specials...
August 25, 201113 yr Saw it this afternoon and I can officially say, that is the best movie I've seen in 2011. I was laughing all the way through, as mentioned by Slick and a few others, the standard was kept throughout. My favourite bit is Will dancing though, which I REALLY need a GIF of. :(

I hope they end it all here tbh because it was a very good last outing for them, but I fear more TV specials... There's two more specials confirmed to finish up the show. They were announced in the first press release for the film. I'd seen half of the jokes on Facebook, but the film was very good. Not as good as the TV show, but still very solid. My favourite bit was definitely the bit with the Pussay Patrol t-shirts. Absolutely hilare. Anybody whose been on one of these holidays will know what I mean!
August 25, 201113 yr There's two more specials confirmed to finish up the show. They were announced in the first press release for the film. That's what I vaguely recalled/feared :(
August 25, 201113 yr I read they've cancelled the specials...? Really? I can't find anything on the web at all. It wouldn't surprise me if they did and made another movie. Either way the show is definitely not done. They hinted at it vaguely in the film.
August 27, 201113 yr Really? I can't find anything on the web at all. It wouldn't surprise me if they did and made another movie. Either way the show is definitely not done. They hinted at it vaguely in the film. Here. "The Inbetweeners Movie has overtaken Bridget Jones sequel The Edge of Reason to record the biggest box office opening of any UK comedy with takings of more than £13m. The film, which cost an estimated £3.5m to make, is likely to have already broken even. The previous highest opening weekend for a UK comedy was Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, in 2004. The film brings the sitcom, which delivered record ratings for E4, to an end after plans for two special episodes were ditched." (Via the Guardian) Edited August 27, 201113 yr by ▲▲▲
August 28, 201113 yr Here. "The Inbetweeners Movie has overtaken Bridget Jones sequel The Edge of Reason to record the biggest box office opening of any UK comedy with takings of more than £13m. The film brings the sitcom, which delivered record ratings for E4, to an end after plans for two special episodes were ditched." (Via the Guardian) Ah. That's been a very low key ditching then. I hope it's not the end to the show as from someone who's been watching since the very first episode aired, the ending of the film was very off. It just seemed to abruptly finish. I do think there will be another film on the way though. No way Film4 execs will not want another film as the film will end up maiking 5 or 6 times what it cost to make.
August 28, 201113 yr I don't know what I'd want from a second film. I'd rather we just had two 1 hour specials instead or something. Maybe a Christmas one and/or one whilst they do freshers week or something at uni. The second would just be another rehash of the first film. Much like how 'Hangover 2' is to the first 'Hangover'.
August 28, 201113 yr I think the only way a sequel could work would be during the Christmas holiday, coming back from Uni and seeing how the dynamic may or may not have changed. Jay and Neil working etc. If they're so keen on a happy ending then they can do the whole nothing has changed thing etc etc etc. Doesn't seem like enough material for another film, a special maybe. Who knows. I think they should just leave it. Edited August 28, 201113 yr by ▲▲▲
September 5, 201113 yr Saw the film last night, despite what I said last year about giving this a miss. It was pretty good - definitely better than the general standard of the third series and they managed to fill 90 minutes without it dragging. The ending is a little too 'perfect' but fair enough - they've been through enough through their own stupidity. It also clearly ends the lifetime of those characters for good...which means everyone can move on.
September 5, 201113 yr Just saw the film. Don't know why I had waited this long. It was brilliant. I honestly haven't laughed at a comedy film this much for ages. I liked the ending as well, it felt right for them.
September 5, 201113 yr I saw this Saturday night, and as others have said, I was worried that I was gonna be disappointed at first, but I really enjoyed it, it had all the charm of the series and had some proper LOL moments throughout :D
September 5, 201113 yr Just noticed, but what on earth happened to the tattoo scene? At 1:21? X0-3cvd6VzM I honestly loved this movie so much, and I was paying so much attention so I have no clue how I could have missed it? Why on earth would they cut a scene thats in every trailer? Anyway, hilarious movie.
September 10, 201113 yr Finally been to see this and it was thankfully as funny as people have been making out. Though the whole thing was made slightly awkward with a young kid sitting next to me. and yeah I do kinda hope they end it like this though with how well this one's done it'd seem silly for them not to make another or at least a Christmas special.
