There's a difference between something being remembered and being a classic. FFTL may be the former, but it will never be the latter.

 

And symbolic to who?! I would imagine most couples would choose something a bit more mushy to "symbolise" their relationship, not some autotuned pop pap.

 

Ok I agree it will be more remembered rather than being a classic. However it did change the music scene. Loads of copies and imitations on the internet :)

By imitators I meant other artists copying her style etc. Which obviously hasn't happened since her style isn't even different or original in the first place. So, it hasn't changed the music scene at all. Loon down a bit, eh?

 

At least you had the strength to admit that maybe FFTL won't be a classic though. Must have been very difficult for you to do that :o Kudos.

I don't think she cares that much, she refused to sing it at Album Chartshow a few weeks back, I don't think she intended it to be as big as it has become. Think she will definetly gain alot of new fans when she releases 'Price Tag' next year.

I have to agree with JAM, FFTL will probably become a future classic/well known song. I love how no-one is able to knock your passion for Miss Cole :lol:

So my opinion on what a classic is isn't really worth much more than anyone else's, at the end of the day. It's mostly opinion, although I would say some songs are absolutely undeniable as classics...
