The grocery bag lyric is actually 'I got her n***a, grocery bag'. Still a funny/weird lyric
April 15, 201114 yr Author The grocery bag lyric is actually 'I got her n***a, grocery bag'. Still a funny/weird lyric That makes even less sense. I also thought the asbestos lyric was 'as bestest' It's preceded by the lyric 'he said, Nicki don't stop you da bestest'. That part of the song makes a bit more sense to me now :P

That part of the song makes a bit more sense to me now :P Yeah, rhyming "bestest" with "bestest" would've been cringe-worthy, so I'm glad it turned out to be "asbestos" instead. It's like that time Chris Brown rhymed "dick" with "dick" and "dick" and "dick" in Look At Me Now. :drama:

But I think it's done on purpose because it's got the little cutaway thing to Busta Rhymes talking and he says something like 'lemme show you how to keep the ball rolling when you're doing your thang over there' and proceeds to rap at an insane speed for what seems like forever.

Busta Ryhmes: Let's go! sgiudsiahbgvjkgarjgrhgrakha, hrbgayhbhfsgiudsiahbgvjkgarjgrhgrakha, hrbgayhbhfsgiudsiahbgvjkgarjgrhgrakha, hrbgayhbhfsgiudsiahbgvjkgarjgrhfdsg. Lil Wayne: I've got lots of money. I do think it's a great song though. I wish it'd just get one week in the top 40. Also, I noticed Chris Brown says: "And she accidentally slipp and fall on my dick", which is similar to one of Eminem's lines in Guilty Conscience: "What? She tripped, fell and landed on his dick?" Also, it's so ironic how Chris Brown says "But since we're talking 'bout my dick, all of you haters say "Hi!" to it", and then those photos leaked. Edited April 15, 201114 yr by Eric_Blob

April 15, 201114 yr I'm pretty sure he 'leaked' them himself as a publicity stunt? Yeah, perhaps, and he was intending to do that all along, hence he put those lyrics in, maybe? I think it could've been someone at his record label too. They also make a lot of money from it, and they have even more incentive to do it if they can get hold of pictures because its someone else getting exposed to everybody, not themselves. April 21, 201114 yr #200 INNA “Amazing” from the album “Hot” [August 2010] 14-17-21-29-45-70-96-x q3NwJF28wjU ~ 415 points // 7 weeks // #14 peak ~ The second UK single from Romanian singer Inna (real name Elena Apostoleanu), following #6 hit Hot (which will feature later in the countdown). Amazing didn’t quite match the UK success of its predecessor, only peaking at #14, but it was another huge European smash for Inna and has just managed to scrape into the top 200 on this chart. It certainly fared a whole lot better than Inna’s third single, Déjà Vu (feat. Bob Taylor) which peaked at just #60. Still did well in the chart. Good song this.
April 21, 201114 yr #197 DAVID GUETTA FEAT. AKON “Sexy Bitch” from the album “One Love” [August 2009] -33-45-54-65-68-73-78-86-83-85-95-90-85-x(1)-92-88-96-97-x(4)-100-89-x(2)-99-x x7UYz9UyzUQ ~ 419 points // 20 weeks // #33 peak ~ This song, like French DJ Guetta’s previous single When Love Takes Over (feat. Kelly Rowland), was added to iTunes midway through the week, leading to a seemingly low début of #21 (When Love Takes Over made #7) before climbing to #1 in its second week. In fact, none of Guetta’s #1s have entered the chart there - Sexy Bitch was his second of 4 #1s, the other 2 both coming in 2010. Gettin’ Over You (David Guetta and Chris Willis feat. Fergie and LMFAO) climbed from #41 to #1 due to a chart quirk (more on that later) and Club Can’t Handle Me (Flo Rida feat. David Guetta) entered the chart at #5 before climbing to #2 then to #1. Anyhow, the electro house collaboration between Guetta and US R&B singer Akon (real name Aliaune Thiam) was one of the huge hits of 2009 leading to it charting enough in 2010 to make this countdown. The original song was a little… offensive to be played on radio and TV, so an edited cleaner version titled Sexy Chick exists. In case you’re wondering at all, this song was Akon’s third #1, following 2005’s Lonely and 2006’s Smack That (feat. Eminem). Definitely a summer anthem this!
April 21, 201114 yr #195 LIL WAYNE FEAT. EMINEM “Drop The World” from the album “Rebirth” [January 2010] 59-51-67-76-x(6)-93-62-53-58-65-64-69-79-94-x ErCAOMi5EGM ~ 423 points // 13 weeks // #51 peak ~ Despite spending the better part of the year in jail for weapons charges, US rapper Lil Wayne (real name Dwayne Carter) has found the time to appear on nine different UK top 100 hits in 2010 as well as releasing singles from three different studio albums (Rebirth, I Am Not A Human Being and the upcoming Tha Carter IV). Drop The World (feat. Eminem (real name Marshall Mathers)) was easily the most successful of his 4 hits as the lead artist. The single was featured on his seventh studio album Rebirth, which was marketed as Wayne’s first ‘rock album’ although the predominant musical genre remained hip hop. The song started off with a fairly standard chart run for a Lil Wayne single, spending 4 weeks on the chart, but after a 6 week absence it made an unexpected resurgence and spent a further 9 weeks in the top 100 and nearly reaching a new peak in the process. Lil Wayne returned the favour for Eminem by appearing on Eminem’s #33 hit No Love which will appear later on in the countdown. Will Lil Wayne ever have a Top10 Hit as him as the leading artist?
April 21, 201114 yr #192 ALEX GAUDINO “I’m In Love (I Wanna Do It)” standalone single [October 2010] 10-19-30-38-54-62-63-96-x 8rTMB74hbwc ~ 436 points // 8 weeks // #10 peak ~ This song was the second top 10 hit for Italian house DJ Alex Gaudino (formally Alessandro Gaudino), following up 2007 #4 hit Destination Calabria (feat. Crystal Waters). I’m In Love (I Wanna Do It) was originally just an instrumental song titled I’m In Love, but for the UK release uncredited female vocals were added to the song. This track is the only Italian representation in the top 200 on this countdown. Who's the female vocalist?
April 21, 201114 yr #189 LEMAR “The Way Love Goes” from the album “The Hits” [February 2010] 8-19-32-33-42-56-74-x Eu3W6dgGXC8 ~ 443 points // 7 weeks // #8 peak ~ British singer Lemar (full name Lemar Obika) is another artist who has his roots in reality TV, but unlike most of the other reality TV acts in the top 200 he’s not from the X Factor - he’s actually from Fame Academy. He’s had great longevity in the chart for a reality TV artist. His first top 10 hit was Dance (With U) way back in 2003. Although The Way Love Goes, the only single taken from Lemar’s greatest hits album simply titled The Hits, plummetted in the chart after peaking, it was a great achievement for it to even make the top tier of the chart as Radio 1 saw it fit to snub poor Lemar and not playlist it. He deserved a Top10 hit again, Lemar.
April 21, 201114 yr #183 THE PRETTY RECKLESS “Make Me Wanna Die” from the album “Light Me Up” [May 2010] 16-20-31-40-19-60-77-87-92-x(5)-92-88-100-x dYeGw-bo430 ~ 460 points // 12 weeks // #16 peak ~ US band The Pretty Reckless (Taylor Momsen, Ben Phillips, Mark Damon, Jamie Perkins), best known as ‘that band Taylor Momsen is in’, are another one of those select few rock bands to have made a decent showing on the singles chart in 2010. They’re a female fronted rock band, much like Hole or Paramore or… did I mention Hole? But yes, the emo-titled Make Me Wanna Die was a surprise hit for Taylor Momsen & Co. making the UK top 20. Follow-up single Miss Nothing only just scraped the top 40 but their album Light Me Up did pretty well to make up for it. Depressing or what.
April 21, 201114 yr #179 SKEPTA “Rescue Me” from the album “Doin’ It Again” [July 2010] 14-19-24-32-42-48-61-95-x 6TTceYEJif4 ~ 473 points // 8 weeks // #14 peak ~ Poor Skepta (real name Joseph Adenuga). He’s been trying so hard, but he just hasn’t yet managed to crack the top 10 like nearly every other mainstream-ish British MC has. His first top 100 hit was 2008’s #86 Rolex Sweep and his chart positions improved for a while, with 2009’s Sunglasses At Night making #64, 2010’s Bad Boy giving him his first top 40 exposure reaching #26 and then this, Rescue Me which features uncredited vocals on the chorus unless Skepta’s singing voice is really that different to his rapping voice, went as high as #14. Logic would follow that his fifth chart single would see him reach the top 10 like all those other MCs - Wiley, Dizzee Rascal, Tinchy Stryder, Chipmunk, Tinie Tempah, Aggro Santos etc. - but Cross My Heart (feat. Preeya Kalidas) only stumbled in at a low #31 and 6th hit So Alive (Skepta vs. N-Dubz) has so far only reached #99. Poor Skepta. Shame Cross My Heart didn't peak higher.
April 21, 201114 yr Yeah, I agree with Amazing. Very appropriately titled. No, Lil Wayne will probably never have a UK top 10 hit as a leading artist. I've actually spoken to the female vocalist from Alex Gaudino's song on youtube before, about a year ago. I think she was called Maxime Ashley, and her youtube channel is MaximeOfficial, or something like that. EDIT: Almost got it right. Except it's Maxine. Edited April 21, 201114 yr by Eric_Blob

April 21, 201114 yr #119 JUSTIN BIEBER “One Time” from the album “My World” [January 2010] 14-11-12-20-29-44-66-72-66-69-64-57-81-71-92-x CHVhwcOg6y8 ~ 747 points // 15 weeks // #11 peak ~ The first single released by Justin Bieber. Let’s just be glad this missed the top 10 and forget it ever happened, alright? I’ll save the detailed commentary for his only actual hit. This video strictly for Bieber fans! April 21, 201114 yr One Time is a pretty brilliant song tbh. I don't care about the vocalist or the lyrics, that song is truly amazing imo.
