I, like a lot of Delta fans, managed to get my copy on import but was there ever an official reason why it wasn't released in Deltas second biggest market? She's kinda shot herself in the foot there.

I do wonder why we never got the album in the UK. Her first album was a million seller but then they messed up with the 2nd album which sold poorly due to a crap lead single and only one further single which did ok.

She shunned the UK in favour of the United States i believe.

 

She has said she'll be back in the UK for album #4.

From what I recall, the plan was to release Delta in the U.K. between promotion pushing trips to the U.S.A. It always seemed to me to be rather an odd way of doing it. It would have made more sense to release in the U.K. before the U.S.A. The U.K. market, which was once established is now in urgent need of rebuilding.

I think they wanted to rebuild her over here with the push that she would've received from the US, however they gave up on the US before the album was even released. :rolleyes:
