God that time again :o comes round so quick, will give the first episode a watch see how it goes ^_^ didn't get into the last one.

When is it starting?

I didn't even bother with the 4th season. I MAY TRY THIS ONE OUT, WE SHALL SEE.

 

I'm actually mildly interested in Skins USA. Just to see.

I think this will be better than Skins USA, purely because the latter is rehashing the storylines from the first Skins but seems to be taking out the more controversial bits (oh noes! we can't have a homosexual!) whereas this at least won't censor itself. It could of course continue the decline evidenced in season 4 but who knows. I'll give it a shot.

The cast looks promising.

 

Season 4 really was trash. it lost any sense of reality and became some sort of bizarre self-indulgent arthouse style thing. WHAT EXACTLY EVER HAPPENED?

Seems like the plot for the pilot is completely identical to the UK's pilot for season one... wow.

That just makes me miss the early series when it was pretty amazing :(. Michelle and Jal :wub:.

Don't think they will ever top the 1st two series. They got the characters just right with them, it just felt natural. In the 3rd and 4th they attempted to be even more "extreme" and it just felt like the writers were trying too hard. I only watched bits of Series 4 due to that. I get the impression they are going to tone it back a bit this series from the choice of characters... get the impression they may have gone too far in the other direction this time. It looks boring but I'll give it a chance.

Also none of the characters are really hot!:(

It looks like a chavvy version of Series 1.

Queen Bee's boyfriend blatantly ends up going off with weirdo/outsider girl. YOU CAN SEE IT A MILE OFF OR WHAT.

I miss fun/trashy Skins. Series 3/4 could have been soo good as they did have a good cast, but they just ruined it with some ridiculous acting, scripts and general ludacrisosy. They tried to turn it into an emotional drama when they killed Chris off. Ahhh series 1 was so good. It was such a good teenage cultural phenomena...so much more so then The Inbetweeners imo.

Watching now. Actually rather impressed so far, looks like the characters are going to be well-written with the potential to go somewhere ^_^

I hate Frankie already.

Okay, so the pilot was kinda $h!t. Very cliched and the two main girls were totally unlikeable - Frankie was just ridiculously ott and the other blonde one, we've seen this pretty girl brat thing done before and alot better too.

 

GRACE however is wonderful and obviously the best thing about it, which is why I may continue to watch.

I thought it picked up towards the end, there's potential there, Grace is immediately a favourite.

I liked it! It's always going to get Stick because of the last gen but I thought it was good, unpredictable in parts, predictably pretentious all over, with a decent cast. I'm interested in seeing how they'll sell them all as mates given they all come from their own little groups but it should be a fun series.
