Posted January 3, 201114 yr Greetings all, happy bank holiday! For the last week you've all been voting for your favourite #1 of 2010 and the results are now HERE. I'm sure you're all ecstatic that they shall be beginning soon, so for now SPECULATE etc. A reminder of the tracks: Iyaz - Replay Owl City - Fireflies Helping Haiti - Everybody Hurts Jason DeRulo - In My Head Tinie Tempah - Pass Out Lady GaGa feat. Beyonce - Telephone Scouting For Girls - This Aint A Love Song Usher - OMG Diana Vickers - Once Roll Deep - Good Times B.o.B - Nothin On You Dizzee Rascal - Dirtee Disco David Guetta & Co. - Gettin Over You Shout For England - Shout Katy Perry - California Gurls JLS - The Club Is Alive B.o.B - Airplanes Yolanda Be Cool - We No Speak Americano The Wanted - All Time Low Ne-Yo - Beautiful Monster Flo Rida - Club Can't Handle Me Roll Deep - Green Light Taio Cruz - Dynamite Olly Murs - Please Dont Let Me Go Alexandra Burke - Start Without You Bruno Mars - Just The Way You Are Tinie Tempah - Written In The Stars Cee-Lo - Forget You Cheryl Cole - Promise This Rihanna - Only Girl JLS - Love You More X Factor Finalists - Heroes Black Eyed Peas - The Time Matt Cardle - When We Collide ^_^
January 3, 201114 yr Telephone will win. I think Everybody Hurts could come last tbh. I can't think of anybody who would've given it positive points.
January 3, 201114 yr Author 34 / Shout For England – Shout / -30 POINTS Original chart run: 1-1-3-15-40-62 AG-0ASyBYT0 So 2010 bought us the FIFA World Cup once again, and with it came the naturally delusional English optimism fuelled by the tabloid media and the fairly awful single in support of ‘our boys’. But it’s the only track that’s finished this rundown on minus points! 33 / Helping Haiti – Everybody Hurts / 60 POINTS Original chart run: 1-1-9-26-42 Ts1HxVopG2k So with this track, my usual scepticism continues. 2010 saw the tragic earthquake unfold in Haiti, on which Simon Cowell naturally jumped on the bandwagon to make a few quid, gathering together a few b-list singers to put out a standard god awful charity cover single.
January 3, 201114 yr I quite liked 'Shout', though I'm clearly alone. 'Everybody Hurts' is nice enough, but of course it couldn't ever out-do the incredible REM original, or come close for that matter.
January 3, 201114 yr Who gave EH positive points? TBH I liked Shout  for a couple of weeks. I even charted it at one point. Edited January 3, 201114 yr by ★ 2011 Bray ★
January 3, 201114 yr Author 32 / The X Factor Finalists 2010 - Heroes / 240 POINTS Original chart run: 1-1-7-14-22 dHsCGoZst-w And so completes the set. Somehow, this song managed to earn 240 points, I’m not really sure how, but basically everything I said for Helping Haiti applies. Simple rule, if you care so much about a charity, donate money to it, don’t donate to the Simon Cowell Pocket fund. 31 / Dizzee Rascal – Dirtee Disco / 340 POINTS Original chart run: 1-4-12-22-35-41-47-61-62-66 qiBxYEPbDaw So Dizzee Rascal’s new track this year goes to prove he has fully gone down the Black Eyed Peas route, in his ability to release any old $h!t and have the public lick it out of his hand.
January 3, 201114 yr Author 30 / JLS – The Club Is Alive / 460 POINTS Original chart run: 1-7-9-16-23-32-39-53-63 w6cYoEu_P4 $h!te. Enough said. 29 / Iyaz - Replay / 740 POINTS Original chart run: 1-1-2-3-6-8-13-24-29-32-30-31-29-34-50-58-65-75-69 BfP55GUzaxc And so here we have Iyaz, the perfect example of how much in the R&B scene in 2010 has completely blurred into one.
January 3, 201114 yr Am I the only one here who likes "Dirtee Disco"? "Shout" was a good song until England were knocked out, now I don't like it much. "Heroes" was the best X Factor Finalists single to come out. I hate "The Club Is Alive" but "Replay" was in my top 5 songs of the year. Why is it so hated a great song. Anyway, predictable chart so far Edited January 3, 201114 yr by *xmasG*
January 3, 201114 yr Author 28 / Black Eyed Peas – The Time (Dirty Bit) / 810 POINTS (more minus tens) Original chart run: 11-7-11-6-1-4-3 JwQZQygg3Lk So, like Dizzee, The Peas came back this year with a half arsed attempt at a song covering ‘The Time Of My Life’ from Dirty Dancing in the chorus and as usual, the UK laps it up despite a p*** poor X Factor performance which actually secured it #1. 27 / JLS – Love You More / 810 POINTS (less minus tens) Original chart run: 1-3-10-14-23-19 GAjLo_guTKs So finally in the countdown, we come to a song I actually rather like! Such a shame Buzzjack is so hard on boybands :snif:
January 3, 201114 yr I thought BEP's X Factor performance was brilliant! :o I think Dirtee Disco is just pure DIRGE!
January 3, 201114 yr lol. You like Love You More and you hate The Time?! :o Each to their own, I suppose...
January 3, 201114 yr Author 26 / Scouting For Girls – This Ain’t A Love Song / 970 POINTS Original chart run: 1-1-2-5-7-11-17-28-31-37-44-53-56-56-58-54-47-52-58-68 886AQqcM8Tk I have genuinely no idea how this happened... but it did. 25 / Matt Cardle – When We Collide / 1080 POINTS Original chart run: 1-1-1 SFzq3ZkdubE Up next, we have this years standard X Factor karaoke single, whereby a decent song is taken and made to sound like Westlife which the British public then decide to lap up. A WELL EVERYBODIES HEARD ABOUT THE BIRD
January 3, 201114 yr ^ That's not the official video for When We Collide!?! :o It's pretty funny though.
January 3, 201114 yr California Gurls, Telephone and Only Girl for Top 3! (The only good #1's of 2010). :drama:
January 3, 201114 yr Author 24 / Ne-Yo – Beautiful Monster / 1490 POINTS Original chart run: 1-5-5-9-13-23-21-28-33-41-52-56-56-56 2J2dwFVZHsY I’m not going to lie, I have never heard this song, so feel free to form your own opinions ^_^ 23 / Usher - OMG / 1540 POINTS (more minus tens) Original chart run: 13-8-2-1-2-2-2-3-6-12-11-6-11-15-17-20-23-22-27-31-35-41-50-48-60-60-66-70-63-35-47-54-67 QPm25m8DZpA At 23 we has ‘OMG’, a collab between Usher and Will.He.Is, which let’s be fair is a bitch of a grower.
