July 21, 201113 yr Author http://lifeandtimes.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/otislifeandtimes722.jpeg Listen to 'Otis' here. Wasn't quite sure on 1st listen but on the 2nd I'm HOOKED.
July 21, 201113 yr ^ oh man I love it! Really like the Otis part in the background though that screaming at the end was a bit annoying.. and that cover
July 21, 201113 yr On KanyeToThe.com they posted a tweet of someone who knows about the album. He/She said that they will drop tracks every day, beginning next week, here. Oh and I really like "Otis". Just not the screaming at the end. That was horrible.

As for the song, they will definitely be putting out better I'm sure, but the song isn't too bad itself.
July 22, 201113 yr Jay-Z, Kanye West try dubstep on 'Watch The Throne' album Jay-Z and Kanye West have experimented with dubstep on their new album. The hip-hop pair contacted singer-songwriter Verse Simmonds to work on their collaborative project Watch The Throne, which will be released in August. Speaking about working with producer Sham Joseph on material for the duo, Simmonds told MTV: "What we did is, we locked in a week, we just went crazy on everything Jay and Kanye." He added: "I remember telling Sham, I was like, 'Yo, I think this dubstep stuff is going to be the next new flavour that everybody gotta be on. It gotta have a hip-hop feel to it still'." The song, titled 'Who Gon Stop Me', appears on the final tracklisting for the album and is said to be heavily influenced by the electronic dance genre. Watch The Throne will be released digitally on August 1 and physically on August 5. Jay-Z and Kanye West's track titled 'Otis' - which features a sample of Otis Redding's classic 'Try a Little Tenderness' - was released online earlier this week.
July 22, 201113 yr I'm glad a bit of hype is finally starting to build up behind 'Watch the Throne' - if they rush released it, much like they intended to do a while back. As for 'Otis', it's a lot nicer to listen to than the violent 'H.A.M.' - so hopefully the direction on the album follows this. Really excited for August 1 - it's just before I go on holiday; so 'Watch the Throne' will be all I'm listening to for 3 weeks.
July 22, 201113 yr ^ It sounds a bit messy, but maybe it's just poor quality or something. It sounds really promising! Based on that small clip, it sounds like it'll be quite cinematic! :o If it's released a week before the album, does that mean it'll come out on Monday then? It'd be funny if it beat JLS to #1! Although I highly doubt that will happen.
July 24, 201113 yr Author Loving 'Otis' so much, much prefer it to 'H.A.M.'. Only a week until we get the album. EXCITED.
July 27, 201113 yr Otis is a step up from H.A.M. definitely but it hasn't quite grown on me yet. Eagerly awaiting the Swizz Beatz-produced songs, as well as liftoff. The album should turn out pretty good.
July 27, 201113 yr When/why did this album change from 'Kanye West and Jay-Z' to 'Jay-Z and Kanye West'? Just wondering. Seems a bit odd. Edited July 27, 201113 yr by Bré

July 27, 201113 yr When/why did this album change from 'Kanye West and Jay-Z' to 'Jay-Z and Kanye West'? Just wondering. Seems a bit odd. It's because if it's "Kanye West and Jay-Z", then in some places, where they only show a limited number of letters in the artist column, you'll only see Kanye's name, whilst if Jay-Z is first, you see both names. So, like, if a site can only show the first 15 characters, if Kanye is first, you get: "Kanye West and " but if Jay-Z is first, you get: "Jay-Z and Kanye" The Joy, featuring Curtis Mayfield, has leaked. Is it a bonus track? Edited July 27, 201113 yr by Eric_Blob
July 27, 201113 yr Yep, it's only on the deluxe edition. Ah okay. Cos I was wondering why it wasn't on the tracklist. It's a good song, so I'm glad it's made it on there.
