August 1, 201113 yr I LOVE 'OTIS'. Otis Redding is like a god to me. Absolutely love the heavy use of sampling 'Try A Little Tenderness'. wub wub wub edit: I love the screaming at the end! It's like it's playing homage to singers such as Otis & James Brown etc., singers such as those that made it possible for Kanye & Jay Z to have careers in music.
August 8, 201113 yr Do I hear some Flux Pavilion in Who Gon Stop Me?? Also, Why I Love You may just be one of the best songs of the year. Edited August 8, 201113 yr by MANIAC
August 8, 201113 yr 'Lift Off' isn't as good as I hoped it would be. Well the hook is brilliant and Jay's and Kanye's verses are goooood. But I can't get round the fact that Beyoncé's voice sounds annoying on it. (Might just be the version I listened to on youtube that's been changed for copyright reasons...)
August 8, 201113 yr Niggas In Paris! This whole thing is just amazing beyond belief really, UNDECIDED on Why I Love You though.
August 8, 201113 yr I think that Niggas In Paris, No Church in the Wild, Otis and Why I Love You are the highlights.
August 8, 201113 yr Author The production on this album is absolutely incredible! These two are seriously at the top of their game right now. I've listened to it through a few times now and it's already one of my albums of the year...for some reason I was expecting to be disappointed as I had SUCH high hopes for it but it doesn't disappoint at all. Highlights for me are 'No Church in the Wild' (Frank Ocean ), 'Niggas in Paris', 'New Day', 'Who Gon Stop Me', 'Murder to Excellence' and 'Why I Love You'. Still loving the two singles (if 'Otis' was classed as a single? Not sure).
August 8, 201113 yr I have to say H.A.M. was the worst song on the album. Why that went as the first single to preview a set like this is beyond me. Anyway, highlights so far would be Lift Off, Niggas in Paris, Who Gon Stop Me? , Made In America, Why I Love You, Illest Motherf***er Alive, and Primetime.
August 8, 201113 yr Does anyone else feel like this album sounds more like Kanye feat. Jay Z? To me it sounds a lot like a Kanye album with Jay turning up here and there. Don't care though; it's amazing. I'm loving Murder to Excellence right now.
August 8, 201113 yr Does anyone else feel like this album sounds more like Kanye feat. Jay Z? My thoughts exactly. That's probably because Kanye co-produced all tracks besides Murder to Excellence, Made in America, and Primetime. Most of the tracks sound like an extension of the sound of MBDTF, IMO. Also, if anyone's looking for a full album stream, Pretty Much Amazing has come through. Not sure if I can post the link on here, but just google it. Edited August 8, 201113 yr by MANIAC
August 8, 201113 yr Most of the tracks sound like an extension of the sound of MBDTF, IMO. Yeah, exactly. Lift Off is practically All Of The Lights Part 2.

Anyway, highlights so far would be Lift Off, Niggas in Paris, Who Gon Stop Me? , Made In America, Why I Love You, Illest Motherf***er Alive, and Primetime. I must've downloaded the (version of the) album without the latter two tracks... :o
August 8, 201113 yr Agreed on this sounding more like a Kanye album, although that is exactly what I wanted.
August 8, 201113 yr Yeah, exactly. Lift Off is practically All Of The Lights Part 2. Agreed. The instrumentation in the rest of the album is so similar, too. That's My Bitch is a great example. I must've downloaded the (version of the) album without the latter two tracks... :o Yeah, those would be on the deluxe edition. It only adds H.A.M., a track called The Joy, and those two. I'd say they're worth a download, but that may just be me. No one else that I've shown Primetime has liked it.
