I don't think any of them is their best song but my fav is SOTU
Mhm, I don't like those singles actually, except for the Promise so I chose that. SOTU was amazing at the time but sounds dated [to me] now.

The promise gets my vote

01 The Promise

02 Sound of the underground

03 Ill stand by you

04 Walk this way

I have to say songs like no good advice, call the shots, something kinda ooh and the loving kind were more worthy of number 1 status than songs like ill stand by you and walk this way.

I have to disagree; two songs selling for charity are NEVER less-worthy of being #1 than a sub-par song, an overrated song and two great songs (in that respective order to the songs you listed).

i agree with the first bit, the songs you mention (just replace no good advice with jump) are my favourite GA songs. but i do like ISBY and WTW, just not as much as others, but since they are charity songs i'm glad they got to #1 :)

Sound of the Underground is still amazing all these years. But I must admit out of their number 1 singles i love The Promise. I'll Stand By You was great. sweet and lovely :)

Walk this Way was just dire.

The Promise, although SOTU is good too. Their number 1's really are a poor reflection of their musical legacy :(
'Sound of the Underground' by far. The other three don't come close.
