My God, the lyrics on Dog Man Star are really great. To think of the depths that they sank to afterwards.
I fully intend to buy the deluxe editions of the first three albums, really looking forward to their release as I could do with better quality versions of all.

I'll start with DMS and if the quality of the extras is great I might stretch to Suede. Coming Up will not be purchased.

I wonder where they will put the Stay Together tracks....if anywhere. :(

I dont think I've ever even listened to A New Morning the whole way through.

All 5 albums are on my to-get list.

I wonder if they will include the re-mixed version of A New Morning with the deluxe edition. It was available when you insert the original disk into the computer, although by the time I got around to doing it it was taken offline.

I dont think I've ever even listened to A New Morning the whole way through.

I'm not sure I have either. Truly terrible.

How come you don't like Coming Up? I think it's a great little pop album.

I like it but it took me about 10 years to like it. As I was completely ravished by Dog Mas Star (I was my favourite album ever at that point) I was devastated by how unseductive the melodies were on coming up. It wasn't just the guitarist that was different. Brett was writing differently too. Only the Beautiful Ones was in any way catchy. It was just dull. I was also in love with Everything Must Go at the time so maybe I didn't feel starved of anything to listen to.

It's a decent album but I won't be buying the re-mastered version.

Thanks for that. Shame there's no Be My God :nocheer: but I'll finally get the full-length version of Stay Together on CD as I only have on vinyl at the moment  . And a DVD of one of their Roundhouse gigs - I went to all three :cheer:
  • Author

I've just ordered all 5 on Play.com (They're all £9.99, a bargain if ever I've seen one). I see that Oceans is now officially on A New Morning, rather than as a hidden track. I'm also interested to hear the full length version of 'The Asphalt World ' (which according to a weekend interview by B.A runs at nearly 20 minutes), and the unreleased tracks.

There's only one track that I can see that has been missed out, and that's 'Digging a Hole,' a Neil Codling sung track that was a b-side for Lazy. I imagine it's due to some legal wrangling, seeing as Codling's publishing is still with Sony whilst the rest of the band's is owned by them.

Together and Benstwood Boys end up with the Coming Up b-sides??

I just realised the amount of Head Music b-sides that I have never heard. :o

Are any of them any good?

Am I missing the Dog Man Star singles' videos or are they part of the tour film?

The tracklistings actually look fantastic. Still not getting anything past the first three albums but am pleased that it appears to have some genuine love and effort put into it.
