I'm not even sure I'll get DMS when it's released. I may wait until I see it cheaper.

I remember Brett saying years ago that there were loads of track from the DMS era that were never released. I thought we'd get them now and I only see one brand new track. I'm disappointed that there's no new music from that era. I mean, this is the last chance they were probably going to get. Unless there's further re-issues in the future.

Potentially fantastic news from Digital Spy:

Brett Anderson has reportedly confirmed that Suede are working on new material.

According to NME, the band's frontman told Rolling Stone Indonesia that the songs will only be made available if he is happy with them.

Anderson said: "I wouldn't want to make another record that I look back on and regretted again.

"Whether anyone else hears what we've been writing recently isn't set in stone. Unless it turns out to be outstanding, then no-one will ever hear it."

The singer-songwriter previously admitted that he regretted Suede's final studio release, 2002's A New Morning.

Suede this month confirmed details of the comprehensive reissues of their five albums in 2xCD+DVD editions featuring B-sides, demos and live songs in addition to rare, unreleased tracks and videos.

They play the first three albums - Suede, Dog Man Star and Coming Up - over three nights at London's O2 Academy Brixton in May.

Unfortunately, I totally agree. There has been nothing within the past decade or so that suggests they are capable of even vaguely matching their previous glories.

Brett's lyrics will be an embarrassment and the music will be 5th rate indie $h!t.

Brett was a guest on Radcliffe and Maconie's new 6Music show today. They played songs from the remastered albums, Introducing The Band, one with Justine :o and a very different version of The Wild Ones. It all sounds great

If you missed it, head for iPlayer.

I think my Suede fandom has reached worringly new heights. After listening to that interview, I ended up buying two boxes of the tea that Brett off-handedly mentioned in his interview. In my defense, it's to protect my throat from my destruction of Received Pronounciation in the play I'm currently in.

Just a month until the 02/Dublin gigs. I can't wait.

Groovy stuff. I'll have to catch up on the iPlayer later on. Is he playing his new solo stuff, or one of Suede's tracks? Either way, it's great to see him get some mainstream TV exposure again.

He wasn't on :( Maybe there'll be something on Friday.

I have no tv signal any more :(

We haven't paid the bill in a year.

I just read quickly through the Mojo interview with Brett. There's a 7 minute version of The Wild Ones and a 12 min version of The Asphalt World on the DMS re-issue. I did not know this.

Plus an 18 minute version of The Asphalt World is in existence...I wonder will we ever hear that.

Suede performed on the Late Late Show last week ahead of their trilogy of gigs in Dublin. Interesting that Neil Codling played acoustic guitar on the track as opposed to keyboards.

I saw that a few days ago as someone on Haven PM'd me while he was watching it :)

They played the version on The Wild Ones when Brett was on the Radcliffe & Maconie show on 6Music and it sounded wonderful

Just over two weeks to go before the first Brixton gig :yahoo:
