Posted January 22, 201114 yr The top 10 digital single worldwide in 2010 were: 1. Tik Tok by Kesha - 12.8 million copies 2. Bad Romance by Lady Gaga - 9.7m 3. Love The Way You Lie by Eminem featuring Rihanna - 9.3m 4. Telephone by Lady Gaga - 7.4m 5. OMG by Usher featuring will.i.am - 6.9m 6. California Gurls by Katy Perry - 6.7m 7. Hey, Soul Sister by Train - 6.6m 8. Baby by Justin Bieber - 6.4m 9. I Gotta Feeling by Black Eyed Peas - 6.1m 10. crushcrushcrush by Paramore - 6.1m How on earth is that song number 10?!
January 22, 201114 yr Not sure about #10. It's got to be a mistake, surely. Tik Tok sold a lot! :o Not at all surprised it's at #1 though, but its sales are so high. I don't think last year's #1 (which was Poker Face or Boom Boom Pow, I think) got even 10 million sales. I Gotta Feeling making the top 10 2 years in a row!!!! :o Again, expected, but absolutely incredible! I can't believe a song can actually be that popular. Just wow! And amazing how much some songs sold considering they weren't even up for download for a large portion of the year!
January 22, 201114 yr  I'd have loved for "crushcrushcrush" to be there, it's not even like "The Only Exception" could have been #10 and they put the wrong Paramore song by mistake. Which is just as well really, I'd hate that snoozefest to be their most successful song.
January 22, 201114 yr It's a Fake List. Are you sure? Lots of people have fallen for it, if that's the case. http://www.ok.co.uk/celebnews/view/31304/S...s-of-the-year-/ http://news.bbc.co.uk/cbbcnews/hi/newsid_9...700/9368721.stm http://music.aol.co.uk/2011/01/21/kesha-be...al-single-2010/ http://www.google.com/hostednews/ukpress/a...01295530120776A http://popdash.com/news/3463/kehas-tik-tok...ed-song-of-2010 http://www.siliconrepublic.com/new-media/i...iggest-selling/ http://www.musicrooms.net/rock-and-pop/245...ad-of-2010.html http://www.gigwise.com/news/60794/Keha-Bea...-Single-Of-2010 http://www.xfm.co.uk/news/2011/pop-dominat...0-digital-sales http://www.sthelensreporter.co.uk/news/ent...sales_1_2949168 The Paramore thing must be a mistake though. It's just not feasible. The rest of the list is feasible though, at least, #1 - #7 are.
January 22, 201114 yr Most of them are not really reliable sources, and some are just tagging along 1. California Gurls - Katy Perry feat. Snoop Dogg - 8.369.000 2. Love The Way You Lie - Eminem (feat. Rihanna) - 8.260.000 3. Hey, Soul Sister - Train - 6.994.000 4. Tik Tok - Ke$ha - 6.910.000 5. Airplanes - B.o.B. feat. Hayley Williams - 6.614.000 6. Dynamite - Taio Cruz - 6.448.000 7. Bad Romance - Lady GaGa - 5.955.000 8. Telephone - Lady GaGa feat. Beyoncé - 5.739.000 9. Alejandro - Lady GaGa - 5.639.000 10. OMG - Usher feat. Will.I.Am - 5.555.000
January 22, 201114 yr also, if you read the report that the original sales figures that were printed are from, it says that those sales are over a 12 month period up to November 2010

Will.I.Am - 5.555.000 What's the source for this then? I wouldn't have thought California Gurls would be #1, but it is possible, I suppose. Airplanes seems a bit high aswell. I think it was only massive in the UK, Canada and the US (and maybe Australia too), whilst Love the Way You Lie was insanely massive everywhere in Europe, although sales are quite low in some European countries I guess (although Alejandro being so high up suggest European sales can't be too low), and Airplanes was released earlier in most countries, although I still would've expected it to be more than 1.5 million behind Love the Way You Lie. So to sum up, I don't have a clue what I'm talking about.

January 22, 201114 yr http://www.mediatraffic.de/year-end-tracks.htm  Thanks. :) I want to believe that list anyway, since California Gurls + Love the Way You Lie >>>>>>>>>> Tik Tok + Bad Romance. :D Edited January 22, 201114 yr by Eric_Blob
January 22, 201114 yr There's NO WAY in hell this list is true. At all. NO SONG sold close to 13 million, PUH-LEASE. The UK + the US are more than 50% of the sales of any Western act and if you add sales numbers for this 2 countries, the sale numbers are still EXTREMELY far from 13 million.

January 22, 201114 yr The chart is compiled by the IFPI (International Federation of the Phonographic Industry), the umbrella body that represents the recording industry worldwide and covers the period December 2009 to November 2010. http://www.ifpi.org/content/section_resources/dmr2011.html The #10 is clearly an error and probably should be B.O.B feat Hayley Williams.
