January 24, 201114 yr Telephone vs Only Girl final 2 is obvious. Telephone FTW this time please. Only Girl already won that other competition I forgot a few weeks ago.
January 24, 201114 yr Author 20 | Alexandra Burke ft. Pitbull - All Night Long | 68pts ltzNLAwiDyQ&ob=av2el Coming in at #20, is one of BuzzJack's favourite X Factor winner with the fourth single off of her debut album 'Overcome'; 'All Night Long'. The single mix released in May 2010 had Pitbull lend Alexandra a hand to feature on the song (which is pretty pointless, I always cringe at the 'Alexandra .... Burke that is' bit, yeah thanks for that Pitbull, I wasn't exactly sure which Alexandra I was listening to). The single was a pretty big success for Alexandra, peaking at #04 in the charts and selling over 200,000 copies. It's always been my personal favourite from Alexandra, a real shame it's finished so low but good to see it's got enough recognition to be in BuzzJack's Top 20 singles of 2010. 19 | Rihanna - Rude Boy | 76pts e82VE8UtW8A&ob=av2el The first of three Rihanna entries (well four if you count 'Love The Way You Lie') is 'Rude Boy', the 2nd single off of 'Rated R'. The bajan beauty had major success with this tongue in cheek song worldwide, and managed a #02 peak in the UK and selling over an impressive 500,000 copies to become one of the biggest selling songs of the year. Here, it seems like it's the least favourite of her trio of hits this year, one was bound to fall short. Personally, I've always loved it like the Rihanna stan I am, the video and tongue in cheek lyrics make it pretty epic.
January 24, 201114 yr Rihanna only at 19??? I love that song!  Only Girl for number one!!!!!!!
January 24, 201114 yr I kinda have an idea of the top 3, but I'll still be here :P All Night Long was pretty good, Rude Boy got really old :( glad Cee-Lo and Bruno aren't the bottom 2 :D
January 24, 201114 yr I kinda have an idea of the top 3, but I'll still be here :P All Night Long was pretty good, Rude Boy got really old :( glad Cee-Lo and Bruno aren't the bottom 2 :D I agree with the bold bit. Rude Boy is still okay, but I kind of listened to it too much at the time, so I don't want to listen to it anymore. I might like it again after a LONG break from it. All Night Long is fantastic. I hope it wins the BRIT award. Either that or Pass Out. Pass Out isn't as good, but it is like the iconic British song of 2010, so it'd be fair enough. I hope Airplanes wins!! I'm doubt it will though. :( And Cee-Lo and Bruno would've made a good bottom two imo... Edited January 24, 201114 yr by Eric_Blob
January 24, 201114 yr I actually like both of those songs, silly buzzjack. Bruno Mars to come 18th please
January 24, 201114 yr I feel so out of touch with current chart music, and thus this forum nowadays. I only actually like five of the final 20 songs, and of them only two I really like (Eminem, Cee-Lo). And most of the others wouldn't come close to my Top 100 of the year. But I'm clearly in the minority so I shouldn't whinge or complain as most will disagree with me. I just find it interesting.
January 24, 201114 yr Author 18 | Timbaland ft. Katy Perry - If We Ever Meet Again | 99pts KDKva-s_khY&ob=av2el A song from the very start of 2010, the fantastic Timbo and Katy collab, 'If We Ever Meet Again' which went Top 3 in February last year. This and the 3OH!3 collab, helped to sustain interest in Katy alot I think, and probably helped her 'Teenage Dream' era to become as big as it has been. Despite Timbaland not being as popular as he once was, he still managed to have a fairly successful era with 'Shock Value pt. 2', scoring three top 10 hits with this, 'Morning After Dark' and 'Carry Out'. One of my personal favourites from last year too, that chorus is sublime. 17 | Diana Vickers - Once | 105pts A7K91hm29tA&ob=av2el Another X Factor contestant, coming fourth in Alexandra's year (and ironically managing to beat 'All Night Long'!), you either loved her or hated her during her time on X Factor - for me, I personally couldn't stand her. She came across as an obnoxious brat, had terrible vocals that she tried to pull off as being 'unique' and her performances were hard to listen to. But I was pleasantly surprised when I came to find myself loving this infectious, quirky track which hit #01 last year, despite not having exactly amazing sales - it still managed to sell over 200,000 copies in the UK.
January 24, 201114 yr JUSTICE SERVED. Thank GOD the vile 'All Night Long', 'If We Ever Meet Again' and 'Once' have all flopped horribly in this. However, Rude Boy failing displeases me. :( I really should have voted though.
January 24, 201114 yr The top 20 will probably have 3 Katy Perry and 3 Rihanna tracks  4 of each :P

To be fair, I like 10 of the final 20, so that's only double how many you like! And 2 of them are already voted out. :(
January 24, 201114 yr I liked them both, but they didn't age brilliantly for me- as much as I like Diana :(
January 24, 201114 yr 'Rude Boy' is terrible, glad it came very low. The other three are all brilliant and should all have finished slightly higher up imo, as there are a few still to come that aren't as good.
January 24, 201114 yr Author 16 | The Saturdays - Ego | 111pts Umag84Fqk4I Another song from the very very start of 2010, the second single from their flop album 'Wordshaker' turned out to be quite the success with it peaking at #09 on the UK Charts, selling over 200,000 copies and going on to be their second best selling single to date (first obvs 'Up'). I think everyone regards this, 'Up' and 'Higher' their best songs or at least among their best, and it's easy to see why. It's got great production, a catchy hook and a chorus that will stick in your head for days ... oh and the video is easily one of their best too. 15 | Kelly Rowland - Commander | 113pts dwfKZ-1jyiw&ob=av2el At #15 is the girl who will forever be in Beyoncé's shadow, poor brave Kelly Rowland. The lead single off of her upcoming album (is it even still happening?!) was a huge hit on this forum, but unfortunately did not translate that well in the charts as it peaked at a disappointing #09 ... it still had a steady chart run and sold over 200,000 I think. Personally, I do like the song but I find it just a tad overrated, it's typical David Guetta production and her voice is particularly irritating on the chorus.
January 24, 201114 yr Everything seems to have sold 200,000 copies :kink: I found Commander and Rude Boy completely overrated but like the other four a lot!
January 24, 201114 yr Author Everything seems to have sold 200,000 copies :kink: I found Commander and Rude Boy completely overrated but like the other four a lot! Haha I know. :( I wasn't sure if they had sold more, but I knew they at least pushed past 200,000.
