Commander is INCREDIBLE!!! I love it. The chorus is absolutely insane imo!

I never liked Ego though. I just found it so boring. :( From this year, I preferred Missing You and Higher by miles.

Commander was OK for about five minutes- then I got sick of it and now I just can't listen to it :( Ego was one of the best songs by the saturdays though, its always their second songs I like (Ego, Higher, Up) but I dislike their lead singles (Forever Is Over, Missing You)

'Forever Is Over' was awful for the first year or so, but I've not long got into it! :o I just randomly started really, really liking it!

'Ego' is their 2nd best single, for sure. (Behind 'Higher' obvs!) Deserved to be in this countdown. Can't believe it's finished below 'Commander' though :puke: Also, 'All Night Long' deserved better :( I agree with Eric and hope it manages to somehow beat out the competition for Best British Single at the Brits. Highly doubt it though. :(

The Wanted have "Best Single" in the bag imo :( I'm secretly hoping Tinie Tempah will win it instead, but his fans couldn't get him to win a MOBO against N Dubz.. let alone the likes of Cheryl Cole, The Wanted etc..

14 | Katy Perry ft. Snoop Dogg - California Gurls | 115pts

One of THE songs of this summer was Katy Perry's comeback in 'California Gurls'. A infectious piece of pop which stormed to #01 in the UK and US charts and went on to be one of the biggest selling singles of the year. It does get compared alot to Ke$ha's 'TiK ToK', which is easy to see why, especially production wise. As much as I love Ke$ha, I think this is personally far superior, it doesn't take itself too seriously, it has a fabulously fun video to accompany it and it sounded amazing on a sunny day. I'm personally surprised it's not higher up!

13 | Katy Perry - Teenage Dream | 120pts

And another one from Katy! This time with 'Teenage Dream', the 2nd single and title track off of her album of the same name. It didn't quite manage to get #01, but it still went on to sell over 300,000 copies and another huge Top 3 hit for Katy, making her one of the most successful female solo artists this year. It's my personal favourite of her huge three singles this year, it sounded sincere and was nice to see a more mellow production from Dr Luke / Max Martin.

YESS at California Gurls flopping as well :D BuzzJack is showing a surprising amount of taste in this countdown

 Looks like having too many Katy Perry songs in the final split the vote for her songs. Hopefully 'Firework' will crash out soon but I doubt it.

Oh, and a bit out of date, but I really like 'Ego' - by far the best Saturdays song. Just wish the rest of their songs were of that quality rather than dull wishy-washy crap like 'Missing You' :puke2:

Katy crashes out early with two of what I thought were her two most-liked singles on here :o  glad Firework finished above them both though :D

shame Teenage Dream beat Cali Gurls though, CG was quite good in a novelty sort of way, whereas I have never liked Teenage Dream :(

Still really like 'All Night Long' ^_^

:o at 'Rude Boy' being so low!

:o :o :o :o at 'California Gurls' and 'Teenage Dream'! WHAAATTT. #14 AND #13. -_-

'Telephone' or 'Alejandro' FTW. :P :D

california gurls is a much better song than teenage dream and should have gone top 10 imo

Yay for Katy Perry flop! This means Rihanna has performed better :D

Also Bruno, Cee-Lo & Eminem are yet to come!

I'm glad Firework is the highest Katy Perry song. I ADORE Firework. It's one of the most happy and uplifting songs of the year imo, so it deserves to do well. I got the Wideboys remix of it yesterday too. I heard it on Capital FM, and was like "Wow!". You should all go and listen to it if you haven't already. It's basically Firework with the instruments from Only Girl in the chorus! It's so epic. It's basically a euro-pop remix of Firework.

I hope Cee-Lo and Bruno don't get too high!

My predictions for the top 5 are both Rihanna songs, both Lady Gaga songs, and I don't know what else. Hopefully B.o.B., but I doubt it. :(

Actually, The Saturdays should easily get top 5 too. That wouldn't be too bad a top 5 tbh...

12 | B.o.B. ft. Hayley Williams - Airplanes | 124pts

The song that pretty much set the trend for rapper / female artists ballad esque songs, with Alex Da Kid on production. This was a huge hit worldwide and became one of the biggest songs of the year, Hayley's vocals on the chorus were probably the best thing about the song - although I do quite like B.o.B. as a rapper as well tbh. I do like the song alot, but I can't help but feel it's a bit overrated - the chorus is a bit nothingy and really needs to last a bit longer, and it got boring very quickly for me.

11 | Kylie Minogue - All The Lovers | 125pts

Just missing out on the Top 10 is BuzzJack favourite, Kylie Minogue, it became her biggest hit since ... 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head'?! I'm not sure, but definetly in a long time. I'm not the biggest fan, she's always been a bit hit and miss with me as I find her vocals a bit irritating after a while, this was decent enough but just a bit too simple and GAY. I hate using that word to describe songs, but I can't think of any other word to describe it :(. I thought 'Get Outta My Way' was far better personally.
